The fiction term Kentuckiana is a slogan started by the Louisville media to include southern Indiana. There is no official area/region titled by this word. Indiana is a Northern state and known for its location in the Midwest. Kentucky is a Southern state and is seperated from the Northern Region by the Ohio River. Kentuckiana, although a term used by several civic organizations and businesses does not generate as US region. The word has lost populairty over recent years, as both states, especially Central Kentucky has viewed it as causing an identity problem with Louisville.72.172.49.16 (talk) 16:44, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
