The fiction term Kentuckiana is a slogan started by the Louisville media to include southern Indiana. There is no official area/region titled by this word. Indiana is a Northern state and known for its location in the Midwest. Kentucky is a Southern state and is seperated from the Northern Region by the Ohio River. Kentuckiana, although a term used by several civic organizations and businesses does not generate as US region.
