{{WikiProject Peru|class= |importance= }}

Detailed version

{{WikiProject Peru
|class         = <!-- allowed values: SEE BELOW-->
|importance    = <!-- allowed values: SEE BELOW-->
|attention     = <!-- article needs attention?... then add yes-->
|reassess      = <!-- needs reassess?...       then add yes -->
|merge = <!-- needs merging action?... then add yes -->
|needs-infobox = <!-- needs an infobox?...     then add yes-->
|needs-photo   = <!-- needs a photo?...        then add yes-->
|needs-map     = <!-- needs a map?...        then add yes-->
}}

Optional parameters

  • attention – set |attention=yes if the article needs immediate attention from experienced editors. Use only if another parameter does not cover the need for attention; this should be used sparingly. It is strongly encouraged to also add a section to the talk page explaining what needs attention.
  • class – valid values are fa, a, ga, b, c, start, stub, fl, list, na (case-insensitive). See the project's quality scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |class= blank or omit the parameter.
  • importance – valid values are: top, high, mid, low, na (case-insensitive). See the project's importance scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |importance= blank or omit the parameter.
  • listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Michael Bentine, use |listas=Bentine, Michael so that the talk page will show up in the B's and not the M's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter. For more information about this, please see Wikipedia:Categorization of people § Ordering names in a category.
    If the article is using {{WikiProject banner shell}} then it is preferable to add |listas= to that template instead of a project banner template. Putting the parameter on more than one template is not required.
  • merge – set |merge=yes if the page is a candidate for Merge action with one or more other articles.
  • needs-infobox – set |needs-infobox=yes if the article needs an infobox. Remember that infoboxes are not suitable for all articles, and can overwhelm short articles.
  • needs-map – set |needs-map=yes if the page needs a map to be included.
  • needs-photo – set |needs-photo=yes if the page needs a photograph to be included.
  • reassess – set |reassess=yes to mark the page as needing an independent reassessment or validation of its current rating, in the WikiProject Peru article assessment and rating scheme.
  • category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Quality scale

The first table below gives a brief, one-sentence description of possible quality scale values. Before assigning any article to a class, please take a few moments and read the full description of the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team's assessment system.

[Also see the Other Template Parameters, in the second table below.]

Each article may also be assigned to a particular class, intended as a point-in-time assessment of its overall "quality" - relative to the criteria given in the quality scale which is detailed below. Articles for which a valid class has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unassessed Peru articles.

The following values may be used for the class parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

Class parameter values (Category:Peru articles by quality)

class=FA Articles which are currently Featured status articles FA-Class Peru articles
class=A A-class articles; A-Class Peru articles

class=Start Start-class articles; Start-Class Peru articles

Importance scale

  • Exclusively use for articles only.

Each article may also be assigned a particular importance; for Peru related articles, we make a ver simple use of this. Articles for which a valid importance has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unknown-importance Peru articles.

The following values may be used for the importance parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

Class parameter values (Category:Peru articles by importance)
Value Meaning Category
importance=Top Major, broad articles like cities, major topics, or important people Top-importance Peru articles
importance=High All actual articles on the history of any Peru-related topic. Also articles about ethnic groups in Peru. High-importance Peru articles
importance=Mid Other articles that are likely to be of general interest (for example, an article about the theatrical traditions of Peru) Mid-importance Peru articles
importance=Low Articles that are not about Peru and are not likely to be of general interest (for example, a building that houses an organization) Low-importance Peru articles

Anyway, exceptions can be considered if necessary.
