Tolomeo, re di Egitto (Ptolemy, King of Egypt) is an opera by Handel composed in 1728. it was his last opera for the Royal Academy of Music. It is set in Egypt around 108 BC, when Ptolemy IX deposed his mother and joint ruler of Egypt Cleopatra III for his younger brother Ptolemy X (Alessandro).
