Tower Prep is an American-Canadian television series that is currently airing on Cartoon Network. It debuted on Cartoon Network on October 16, 2010, after the world premiere of Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster. The series is created by Paul Dini, a former producer and writer of the DC animated universe.[1][2]

Tower Prep is Cartoon Network's second one-hour live-action series after Unnatural History.

Premise

Ian is a rebellious teenager who had recently been suspended from his school. One day, he wakes in a mysterious preparatory high school, with no idea how he got there or where it is located. The school itself is focused on finding the "unique potential" of its students. Along the way, he makes friends with C.J., Gabe, and Suki, together, they investigate the mysteries of the school while trying to escape. On the first episode they try to escape but then creatures make them go back to the school.

Cast and characters

  • Drew Van Acker as Ian Archer, he has the ability of seeing things before they happen and giving him time to react. His power is known as Preflex. He's a rebel who fights back against what he perceives to be unfair—from bullies to mean teachers.
  • Ryan Pinkston as Gabe Forrest, he has the ability to convince anyone to do anything by the sound of his voice. His power is known as Hyper-suasion. He's the class clown, the guy with the sarcastic comment when the teacher isn't listening and the funny self-deprecating attitude when someone tries to pick on him.
  • Elise Gatien as C.J. Ward, she has the ability to analyze anyone like a computer and know what they're thinking or feeling. Her power is known as Preception. Unlike the others, C.J. has no memory of how she came to Tower Prep. To most of the students and faculty at Tower Prep, C.J. Ward is the textbook example of someone who follows "The Program." She's the perfect student, the most popular girl in school and well liked by everyone. And that's exactly what she wants everyone to think as she secretly plots an escape from Tower Prep. C.J. is a master at playing both sides and hiding her true intentions.
  • Dyana Liu as Suki Sato, she has the ability to imitate anyone's voice after hearing them. Her power is known as Mimicry. She's a quiet, introspective girl whose endearingly bubbly personality shines through just when everyone else's spirits are failing.

The teachers of the school do not have actual names (i.e. Mr. or Mrs. so and so), They are instead called by the subjects they teach. For example, if a teacher teaches math, they are simply called math. The headmaster of the school is simply called headmaster.
