Edo State

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Edo State appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 20:39, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Thanks , corrections taken Lazborn (talk) 07:28, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Edo State, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bini. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

I simply don't believe you and that's all I'm going to say. Graham87 (talk) 12:10, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Graham87!
I understand trust is earned over a period of time. I joined Wikipedia over a year ago on the notion of helping contribute to some of all human knowledge, bridging Content Gap and contributing reliable, accurate and verifiable information.
In the first few months, I was largely passive until I was reading a medical laboratory info that I saw the citation needed tag. I made efforts to get it fixed and ever since, most my edits revolve around fixing citation tag until recently I learnt how to add Wiki links. Seeing (on my User home page) the little efforts I have made and how people all over the world benefits by reading it gives me joy and the zeal to continue.
I would implore you to assume good faith and give me a second chance. I promise not to abuse these privileges going forward. Thanks for your time and consideration. Regards! Lazborn (talk) 14:06, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your editing pattern is highly suspicious. You've been making mass semi-automated edits of little utility. Graham87 (talk) 12:55, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good day @Graham87!
Thank you for finding your time to reply my messages. Despite you saying you "don't believe" me, I would once again implore you to good faith in any mistake I must have made unintentionally and plead you kindly reconsider and unblock my account.
I would be glad if you could explain what "mass semi-automated edits" mean as most of my edit are all manually done on phone. Thanks for your time and consideration.
Regards! Lazborn (talk) 18:56, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No. If you were actually doing all those edits manually, it means you must be far too incompetent to edit here. Also see below. Graham87 (talk) 06:08, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've just gotten your email; I've removed email access too now. The short answer to your email is ... no. Graham87 (talk) 16:29, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocked

Hi Lazborn, I've just e-mailed you. Bradv has unblocked you. I apologise on behalf of the community for how you were treated. In case you want to give Wikipedia another chance, I've very belatedly placed a "welcome" template at the top of this page; it links to pages explaining our guidelines and rules as well as to places to ask for help. I also note from reading above that you were editing on a phone and having some trouble figuring out links and references; did you realise that it's possible to switch to the easier desktop interface on a smartphone? (This page is directed at experienced editors, but you may find it useful for the practical information. Again, I'm sorry, and I hope you do come back. Yngvadottir (talk) 02:52, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lazborn, unfortunately, you were blocked by an administrator who has largely lost the trust of the Wikipedia community. I very much regret that you were mistreated this way, and I hope that you will consider returning to editing. If you need any assistance with your return, I will be happy to help you. I am sure that Yngvadottir feels the same way. Cullen328 (talk) 03:42, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for posting this, Yngvadottir. Lazborn, I hope you read this and come back to editing. You deserve better than this. – bradv 05:00, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
