Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Teamdulwich, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Leo Quinteros requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 21:59, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Navidad, Chile may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. The article Brayan Cortés has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Response

[edit]

Added two further references to provide evidence of notability, one from a Chilean national newspaper (emol.com, the website of El Mercurio) and the other from Chile's Fifa site. Please do not delete this article without consulting with me - happy to discuss further and seek out further evidence if needed. Would be grateful if you could remove the proposed deletion notice.Teamdulwich (talk) 21:35, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thank you for your article on Chilean art; it is quite comprehensive! I was wondering where you found the information for the section on The 13 Generation? I do see references in the Notable members section, so I'm asking about the 3 opening paragraphs, as well as History, Style, and Legacy. I created the article Generación del 13 and want to improve it, ergo my question. Cheers, --Rosiestep (talk) 05:09, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for responding and for including those references. What I plan to do from here is to migrate some of the content from the Chilean art article into the Generación del 13 article, giving you appropriate attribution, and including the references you itemized on my talkpage. I think this will benefit both articles as the Chilean art article seems to give unbalanced attention to Gen13 compared with other sections, while the Gen13 article is a poor translation of the Spanish language version of the Gen13 article. Hope this all makes sense, but if you have any questions, comments, etc., please let me know! Cheers, --Rosiestep (talk) 01:59, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've completed the change to the two articles. Please consider making further improvements to either/both. --Rosiestep (talk) 03:51, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Machas a la parmesana and group accounts

[edit]

Hello Teamdulwich, I was working on fixing up this new article a bit and starting a talk page for it. I took out the razor clams image even though it is a very nice image, because it does not show "pink clams" aka Mesodesma donacina. These razor clams are a different family of bivalves, even though I am sure they are very tasty and very good in this dish. The other image is currently not showing either now... although I don't know why, unless the syntax of the food infoboxes is different from the ones I am used to? Feel free to put that image back.

By the way, I also wanted to explain that on Wikipedia, a user name is supposed to belong to just one individual, rather than to a husband and wife team, which means that Teamdulwich would be considered a "group account". Group accounts usually end up blocked. I hope this does not happen in your case; one of you can of course open another account so you have one each. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave me a note on my talk page.

All very good wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 21:18, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your nice note on my talk page. And thanks for clearing up the thing about whether you are really a "Team", or not. Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 22:47, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge ‎ has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:55, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
