Arbitration report

No cases this week; motion adopted in Date delinking case

The Arbitration Committee opened no cases this week, leaving none open.

Closed case

Ohconfucius requested that an amendment be made to the restriction which prohibited him from using any automation in the article space. He asked that notwithstanding the restriction, he be allowed to use the dashes script solely so that he could bring the use of hyphens and dashes – as interrupters and as range separators between numerals – into conformity with Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Dashes. At the time of writing, other than arbitrators, no other users commented on this request, and it appears that no other users were notified.

Motion

The Committee responded by adopting a motion which terminates the restriction and permits Ohconfucius to use automation subject to community guidelines. Ohconfucius is still indefinitely limited to editing with a single account. Additionally, he is still topic-banned from style and editing guidelines relating to the linking or unlinking of dates, and related discussions.
