Willie Brown was a Delta Blues musician, playing with such notables as Charlie Patton and Son House. Not much is seen or heard of by the man who influenced The King Of The Delta Blues, Robert Johnson. He was mentioned in Johnson's most prolific song Crossroad Blues. He died in Tunica, Mississippi on December 30, 1952. (Apart from playing with Son House and Charlie Patton it has also been said that played with artists such as Luke Thomson and Thomas "Clubfoot" Coles).

Willie Brown was featured as the central character in the movie Crossroads (1986).
