The 2025 Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores will be the 66th edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores (also referred to as the Copa Libertadores), South America's premier club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The competition will begin on 5 February and is scheduled to end on 29 November 2025.[1]

The winners of the 2025 Copa Libertadores will earn the right to play against the winners of the 2025 Copa Sudamericana in the 2026 Recopa Sudamericana. They will also automatically qualify for the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup, the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2026 Copa Libertadores group stage.

The following 47 teams from the 10 CONMEBOL member associations will qualify for the tournament:

  • Copa Libertadores champions
  • Copa Sudamericana champions
  • Brazil: 7 berths
  • Argentina: 6 berths
  • All other associations: 4 berths each

The entry stage is determined as follows:

  • Group stage: 28 teams
    • Copa Libertadores champions
    • Copa Sudamericana champions
    • Teams which qualified for berths 1–5 from Argentina and Brazil
    • Teams which qualified for berths 1–2 from all other associations
  • Second stage: 13 teams
    • Teams which qualified for berths 6–7 from Brazil
    • Team which qualified for berth 6 from Argentina
    • Teams which qualified for berths 3–4 from Chile and Colombia
    • Teams which qualified for berth 3 from all other associations
  • First stage: 6 teams
    • Teams which qualified for berth 4 from Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela

    • Vélez Sarsfield (2024 Copa de la Liga Profesional and Primera División aggregate table top five) may qualify for the Argentina 1, Argentina 4, Argentina 5 or Argentina 6 berth. They may also qualify for the Argentina 3 berth by winning the 2024 Copa Argentina.
  2. Brazil (BRA):
    • Botafogo (2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A top five) may qualify for the Brazil 2, Brazil 3, Brazil 4 or Brazil 5 berth. They may also qualify by winning the 2024 Copa Libertadores.
    • Palmeiras (2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A top five) may qualify for the Brazil 2, Brazil 3, Brazil 4 or Brazil 5 berth.
    • Fortaleza (2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A top six) may qualify for the Brazil 2, Brazil 3, Brazil 4, Brazil 5 or Brazil 6 berth.

    • Peñarol (2024 Primera División aggregate table top two) may qualify for the Uruguay 1 or Uruguay 2 berth.
    • Nacional (2024 Primera División aggregate table top two) may qualify for the Uruguay 1, Uruguay 2 or Uruguay 3 berth.
    • Boston River (2024 Primera División aggregate table top four) may qualify for the Uruguay 1, Uruguay 2, Uruguay 3 or Uruguay 4 berth.
  5. Venezuela (VEN):
    • Carabobo (2024 Primera División champions or runners-up) may qualify for the Venezuela 1 or Venezuela 2 berth.
