GA Review
Hello, you agreed to review the article Tropical Storm Harold for Good Article status but haven't begun since you opened the review 11 days ago. Are you still able to perform the review? JayTee⛈️ 15:36, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Peer review limit
Hello, I've noticed that you've put up several articles for peer review. Per the first point of Wikipedia:Peer review/Guidelines, editors are limited to only one peer review request at a time. I suggest you choose which one you most urgently want feedback for and then take down the others. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 00:10, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Must've missed it, Tropical Storm Kai-tak already has a response, so can you archive it? Going to close Ilana (The Creator), leaving Afrique Victime.

New page reviewer granted
Hi TheNuggeteer, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
- Add Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers to your watchlist to follow NPP-related discussions
- If you use Twinkle, configure it to log your CSDs and PRODs
- If you can read any languages other than English, add yourself to the list of reviewers with language proficiencies
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! —Ganesha811 (talk) 23:04, 30 August 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for your contributions to No Poop July. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from 2010 Pacific typhoon season into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. C F A 💬 13:28, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
Why did you tag this new article for notability concerns, and then mark the page as patrolled? If an article is not notable, it should be draftified and/or deleted, but certainly not patrolled immediately after tagging until multiple people have seen it.
I see you've recently received the NPP bit. Generally speaking, "checking for notability" is a hot topic for NPPers (at least, according to WP:NPP#Notability). If you go into the New Page queue and take a look at all the oldest articles, you'll see them all marked for notability, and/or several other tags, because nobody particularly wants to sign and vet them out so they're always chilling at the back-end. (This also includes redirects that are recently converted into articles). If a page is tagged with "passable" tags that are not AfDable, such as a "too long lead" tag, those are safer to patrol as an article shouldn't be deleted for having "too few sections" or etc. But because notability is policy, if something isn't notable, it shouldn't be on Wikipedia, and shouldn't be patrolled immediately if there are notability concerns. Just something to consider moving forward.
I do believe the topic in question is notable, because clicking on the coordinates takes me to a populated, legally recognized place named "Panda", and populated places have presumed notability per the info contained in WP:GEOLAND, so I've removed the tag. Chanthu
The reason i reverted Chanthu's GA nomination is because it is nowhere near ready for a GA Nomination and needs a very thorough expansion to tell the story of what Chanthu did, how it evolved and what impacts it caused etc. As for you not being a significant contributor, when you nominated the article you barely had 3 edits to the article, which barely added anything to the article. Compare Chanthu, to one of my GA's Cyclone Anne of 1988. Sure its not perfect but it tells the story and is probably the best summary of Anne out there, which is the standard required for a GA nomination.Jason Rees (talk) 12:37, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think I barely added anything to the article, currently, XTools says I contributed 5,214 bytes or 48.4 percent of the article, making myself the top contributor (for authorship). For text added, the original creator, HyperSonicX, has 43.6 percent, while I have 37.7 percent of texxt added. Is this significant enough to nom?
🍗TheNuggeteer🍗
12:48, 3 September 2024 (UTC)- When i look at the three edits that you had perfomed before nominating it for GAN they didnt add anything major in. That is just my opinion though, however, your focusing on the wrong thing. Your priority should be to expand the article significantly to ensure it covers all available sources and not to come along do a couple of minor edits and nominate it for GA. Old Pacific typhoons, List of typhoons in the Philippines (1900-1929), and a check-in
Hey there TheNuggeteer. I saw you published List of typhoons in the Philippines (1900-1929). I see you have 1900-1902 done, but that's it. I wondered if you needed help finding the sources for the rest of the early 1900s. I know you've been using the Selga chronology, but there are plenty of other sources for that time period, especially pertaining to the Philippines. It also seems like you're trying to tackle a lot of different articles. I just wanted to check in how you're doing with your editing. It seems like you're really ambitious to getting stuff done, which I think is great and really admirable! However, it might lead to stuff getting rushed, or not properly researched, and maybe a rush to publish incomplete works. I've been editing for a while, and I know that some projects take some time to really get right. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 03:37, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
- When I found the Selga chronology, I thought the chronology would boost the creation but instead made it slower, should I only include the typhoons or all systems?

I was about to go through it this morning, but found that the article had failed the process as of a few hours ago. Slow down
Hello. Over the past couple weeks I've seen your edits and the issues over at GAN, and while I can appreciate wanting to be bold and work on what you can, you do need to slow down some, as you seem to be taking on more than you can chew. There were concerns raised on the GAN talk page about taking on things without finishing them, and the response to that now appears to be nominating something at FLC, which has surface issues that have already been commented on. To be honest, it's starting to cross the line from "I want to help out where I can" to not wanting to listen to the constructive criticism you are getting. The line between being productive and disruptive is unfortunately not as clear-cut as it probably should be here, and you need to take care to not ride that line too much. To start, I'd suggest just focusing on one process you want to work on and get good at that before branching out, rather than trying to tackle everything at once, as that's just going to be a recipe for disaster on both sides. Wizardman 16:11, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- @TheNuggeteer, I'll go a step further than Wizardman and explicitly say that I think you should step away from Good Articles entirely for now, both as a submitter and as a reviewer. I know this can be hard to hear, but your actions have been leaving other editors feeling really frustrated, and the encyclopedia works a lot better when we're all having fun writing it. No one's going to hold a grudge against you for very long if you take a step back, but if you keep doing the same kind of thing people are just going to get more and more annoyed. I don't want you to feel guilty or ashamed about leaving these reviews unfinished and needing to complete them: you can simply close them and move on, and for any that you haven't even really started, we can simply delete those and return them to the queue. It really will all be fine in the end.
- Actually, if I can make a suggestion, I think it would be a really good idea for you to avoid all content review, contests, and editathons for a while. We run these for a variety of reasons; a major one is that it motivates editors to create good content and collaborate with others. But it really doesn't look to me like you need that motivation! I look at your contribution history and I see a new editor who is already highly motivated to help out and really excited to build the encyclopedia. You've created a lot of new articles, you've made thousands of edits, and you've joined all kinds of different projects. What it also looks like, though, is a new editor who is thinking more about the recognition they can get than the things they can do to make the encyclopedia better. Maybe that's true, in which case you really need to rethink your approach. Maybe it's not true -- in which case, I invite you to prove it, to us and to yourself. -- asilvering (talk) 19:56, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I would like to corroborate this. You really need to finish your GAN reviews before starting new ones, and often leaving them dormant for unnecessary periods of time. I had to directly tell you to finish a review you started but left dormant for nearly 3 weeks and seemingly ignored requests by the nominator to follow up, despite you being extremely active at the time and taking on more reviews. I'm glad to see you have now done it, but I don't feel like I should have needed to intervene like that. Thanks for bringing it up Wizardman. TheBritinator (talk) 23:35, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
I’ve been seeing a lot of you over at GA and I was wondering if you would like to collaborate on your review for the page Tumor necrosis factor. It’s a pretty big page and I’m interested in reviewing it but would also appreciate some help. I think we could both learn a lot this way. Usually with co-reviewing one person picks something to tackle but we could also just both work on the review together and share our process. If you’d prefer to collaborate via email as well I’m open to that as well. IntentionallyDense (talk) 17:15, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Teodoro Asedillo
On 17 September 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Teodoro Asedillo, which you recently nominated. The fact was ... that a former teacher in the Philippines became a Robin Hood–like outlaw? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Teodoro Asedillo. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Teodoro Asedillo), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hey there TheNuggeteer. I got your email about the 1953 Pacific typhoon season. I wondered what you meant by reformatting. Do you mean expanding? If so, that would be really beneficial. Almost all of the sections are empty.
A few easy sources you could use:
- IBTRACS
- This source from USAID has a lot of older Philippine typhoons, including bits of info for Judy and Cora
- Info on older Guam typhoons, including a few 1953 storms
- Alice was one of the wettest storms on record in Guam, so that should be easy to find information on it.
Hopefully this is a good start! Good luck fellow Wikipedian. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:40, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- I wanted to reformat the page to have monthly sections, like the 1937 season, because most of the sections are empty.

GA reviewing
Hi -- I noticed you've started another GA review, and I see from above that there's a thread that you haven't responded to in which some have suggested you should not be reviewing articles at GAN until you have a bit more experience. There was also a conversation at WT:GAN to the same effect; you responded there but didn't comment on the request for you not to review for a while.
Since you've now picked up another review, can I ask you to address those concerns? You've had some experienced editors telling you you need to slow down, but you seem to be ignoring them. Can you tell me why? Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 14:26, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- I honestly don't know how long to take a break for, I took a break for five days, and I don't know how much longer.

23:15, 21 September 2024 (UTC)- @TheNuggeteer I hate to insert myself here and I can't speak on behalf of anyome else but I have reached out offering to help you out with your review of Tumor necrosis factor. It's a pretty tricky article for anyone to review let alone someone who isn't experienced with medical topics. I know others have suggested you take a break but I'm thinking maybe collaborating on a GA review might be a good way to ease back into things. IntentionallyDense (talk) 03:34, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- @IntentionallyDense What about you review the medical parts and I review the rest?
🍗TheNuggeteer🍗
03:38, 22 September 2024 (UTC)- @TheNuggeteer It's a little hard to just review the medical parts since every part of the page from prose, format, and sources are all dependant on the medical manual of style. I was thinking maybe we could kinda just work alongside each other and share our proccess. It might be easiest for you to start with the prose review and for me to start tackling the sources as sources tend to be the hardest part with medical pages (see WP:MEDRS). With reviweing prose for medical articles it might be helpful for you to look over WP:MEDLANG, Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Medicine-related articles#Writing for the wrong audience, and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Medicine-related articles#Writing style. One of the biggest things is making sure that these articles are understandable to a broad audience. Meaning that if you find yourself confused while reading something then that probably needs to be changed to be more understandable. If in doubt I would lean on the side of caution and bring up anything you find overly technical and I can help you figure out if the wording used is appropriate. - TheNuggeteer, I was going to suggest that you find another editor who is willing to help you; a mentor, in other words. It looks like IntentionallyDense is offering to take that role on for at least one review. Can I suggest that you stop picking up new GA reviews until you've completed the review with IntentionallyDense? And if IntentionallyDense is willing to take on the extra responsibility, perhaps you could follow their advice on when you are ready to start doing new reviews again? Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:58, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Mike Christie Okay.
🍗TheNuggeteer🍗
13:11, 22 September 2024 (UTC) - @Mike Christie Side note I am happy to take on the extra responsibility. Because the page is so complex I am probably going to ask for a third set of eyes at the GA talkpage, more so for peace of mind. I have started doing the review however @TheNuggeteer hasn't started reviewing yet (which is fine as prose reviews can take awhile). I'm hoping that they will chime in with some prose review soon and then we can take it from there! I am trying to lay out each step of my review so this can be a learning experience for everyone and hopefully that will help a bit. IntentionallyDense (talk) 18:32, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

DCWC submission declined
Hey TheNuggeteer, and thanks for your participation in the Developing Countries WikiContest. I've declined your submission of this GAN review for points as it does not meet the standards expected for a review of this kind. Your review is quite short and none of your comments make reference to the good article criteria to explain why you failed the nomination, and some of the suggestions you made — such as lengthening the lead or rearranging sections — are neither within the scope of a GAN review nor explicitly required by any policy or guideline. Please see the relevant section of the scoring rules for more information, and let me or another coordinator know if you have any questions.
Speaking only as an editor and not an event coordinator, I would highly recommend that you immediately disengage from content quality–related processes on Wikipedia and focus your efforts elsewhere for some time. Many editors over the last few months have warned you about the improvements needed in the way you approach these processes. So far, those improvements have not been forthcoming, and continuing on that path will likely lead to the community placing sanctions on you based on the "competence is required" rule. These kinds of decisions are unnecessarily stressful for everyone involved, and will make it much harder for you to return to contributing to those areas in the future. I think everyone would prefer if that mess could be avoided, so the best option that I think you have is to voluntarily step away from article creation, GAN, FLC, NPP, and possibly others. Use your time away to take it slow, build your editorial experience in other areas, and familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines so you can come back in the future (at least a few months later) a much more constructive contributor. And you don't need to dive back into things headfirst, there are resources in place for you to seek help if you need it. For example, you could make use of the GA mentorship, articles for creation, or NPP school processes to ease your transition back into those roles with lower stakes and guidance from experienced editors. I hope you will consider my suggestions, and I wish you the best wherever your editing career takes you next. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 22:34, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
Bilorv's minimalist challenge
Hey, I don't want to be the fun police, but that challenge is for getting an article to GA before there are 50 revisions in the page history total. Both of the articles you're citing have well over 100 edits, so they don't qualify. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 04:19, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, I thought you meant the how many edits the user created to the page. Did you revert it?

04:22, 23 September 2024 (UTC)- Yeah, a few people have made that mistake, I think I'm going to clarify the wording of the challenge. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 04:36, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
Hey, quick question: you have been around for a while and could create an article directly into mainspace yet decided to submit Draft:Bigkis Pinoy Movement for review (I'm currently going through the AfC backlog). Is there any specific reason for doing so? Superboilles (talk) 21:14, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation: Bigkis Pinoy Movement (September 24)
- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Bigkis Pinoy Movement and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, or have experienced any untoward behavior associated with this submission, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
