Wikifying

[edit]

I don't know exactly what was meant by "Wikifying", but I've given it my best shot. Perhaps the addition of dates, locations, attendance, and other guests for past ApolloCons would help. I don't have that info to hand, though. Also- no mention of the homemade film video track? Redneckgaijin 20:42, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Community participation

[edit]

Since there was a request on LJ for suggestions to improve this page, I'm offering this just by way of a suggestion. The "community participation" section reads like a list of sponsors requesting plugs, and might raise some objections. The statement "Some of the recently participating people are also members of these organizations" is a very tenuous justification for inclusion. Some of the members probably are also members of the Democratic or Republican party, but that's not relevant to the con. Knowing how fandom works, probably some or all of these organizations have provided help as organizations. If they could be identified as such, this would produce a list that might be shorter but would have a clear connection to the topic of the article. GMcGath 12:56, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not happy with the section either and have decided to be bold and have removed the list. --Spartaz 15:50, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2008 Date

[edit]

Official word from the head of ApolloCon registration sets the dates at June 20-22 but another editor says they've heard from the con chair is that it will be June 27-29. In the absence of an update to the ApolloCon webpage, could somebody on the concom or the con chair please let us know what the correct dates will be? Dravecky 19:37, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just for the record, this has been cleared up and the date on the page is correct. - Dravecky 05:59, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
