  1. ^ The interactive pathway map can be edited at WikiPathways: "NicotineDopaminergic_WP1602".
The "map" shows dopa decarboxylase inside synaptic vesicles. However, as discussed here, dopa decarboxylase is located in the cytoplasmic compartment. --JWSchmidt (talk) 14:46, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the correction and update. We updated the WikiPathways version, including references, and then updated the template used throughout Wikipedia. --AlexanderPico (talk) 04:17, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Other names

[edit]

What about the commonly used synonym AADC (l-amino acid decarboxylase)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.132.121.230 (talk) 14:41, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What are the atoms that make it up?

[edit]

That information seems conspicuously absent. What atoms make up Aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase?75.128.143.229 (talk) 20:37, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I know now this means looking for the amino acid sequence but that information also appears to be absent.75.128.143.229 (talk) 22:49, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The caption from the ribbon icon: "Ribbon diagram of a domestic pig DOPA decarboxylase dimer". Is this a joke? Is it actually known as a domestic pig DOPA decarboxylase dimer? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.16.239.60 (talk) 21:27, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, the domestic pig link was someone's poor attempt at humor. Thanks for pointing it out - I've removed it. Someone else will have to address your other technical questions though. Seppi333 (Insert  | Maintained) 22:27, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this page is ever renamed

[edit]

In case this page is renamed and {{Phenylalanine biosynthesis}} is still used in the article at the time, please edit Template:Phenylalanine biosynthesis and change the following 3 values inside the {{if pagename}} templates as follows:

  • change "Aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase={{highlight|AADC}}" to "New pagename={{highlight|AADC}}" (without quotes)

Alternatively, just leave me a message on my talkpage and I'll do it. This change will retain the enzyme highlighting in the image for the article.
