Proper tense

Why does the first paragraph say, The Church of Mary “is” an ancient Christian Cathedral....? Shouldn’t it read, “was”, since it is now ruins? Or am I missing something? HockeyCowboy (talk) 07:53, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
