The following statement may be original reasearch, but keyboard parts are audible on the original version. Has anyobody got a source as that mentions the player? The given source doesn't mention this information, and I've been having trouble finding such a source, and I know that, unless a source can be found mentioning this information, it stays out. I guess it's entirely possible that no reliable sources exist. This may be another example of original research, but I'd say it's likely that, being the bandleader and primary keyboardist for the Funk Brothers at the time, it was Earl Van Dyke who played keys on on the original version. Because the musicians were all uncredited prior to 1971, it's often difficult to find out with certainty about who played what (whether it's all the instruments or just some of the instruments) on the pre-1971 Motown recordings. The information that the Jagger-Bowie cover version had additional lyrics (which seems to be a relevant fact to me) was deleted from this article while I personally was informed that I should "be prepared to cite a reliable source". Actually, I do not know what kind of "reliable source" is needed here. Everybody can listen to both recordings, and there can be no doubt about the difference in the lyrics. Would links to the lyrics on various lyrics pages on the internet be a "reliable source"? -- Sebastian Panwitz (talk) 19:25, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Reliable sources are defined here. You should provide a source to establish that the added lyrics have some degree of significance, but also because we should not be adding information to Wikipedia based solely on our own observations; that is the definition of original research.
