[edit]Does anyone know if it's Van with a capital V or van with a small v. I think it should be a small v but I always see a big V in most circumstances. Kingjeff 20:20, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- v (small) -- 88.134.58.25
- Are you saying I'm right and it is a small v? Kingjeff 19:35, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- That's not correct, I think. In Holland, names starting with "van" are written with a small v (but only when they are preceded by a first name). But in Belgium, "Van" is usually written with a capital V. So, in the Netherlands you'd have Rafael van der Vaart and Ruud van Nistelrooij, while in Belgium you have Daniel Van Buyten, Anthony Vanden Borre, Jelle Van Damme etc. The same stands for names starting with "de/De": Frank de Boer, Geert De Vlieger. -- Necatrix Regina 14:35, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- Necatrix is right. Julien Tuerlinckx 17:11, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Daniel Van Buyten.jpg
[edit]Image:Daniel Van Buyten.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Under-18
[edit]I find it strange that he has played an U-18 national team match in 2000 (22 years old). I guess the information comes from belgianfootball.be. Also several other players seem way to old (Christian Karembeu of France would have been nearly 30 at this time). Does anyone know what has happened? Is it a normal friendly match mislabeled as an U-18 match? --Wikijens (talk) 14:49, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
