Someone just tried to merge the articles Ook! programming language, Whenever programming language, Chef programming language, and Piet programming language into this article. That seems quite inappropriate. By general WP practice, detailed discussion of each work of an author gets its own article. That practice also makes a lot of sense from the reader's viewpoint (namely, someone who wants to know about Ook! should not have to scroll past the description of the other languages, and vice-versa.) Moreover, the merge would have meant the loss of the edit histories of those separate articles. For these reasons, I have reverted the merge. I'm seeing some WP:DATED vios, like "still", "so far" and "now". The entire second paragraph under "Esoterica" seemed incomprehensible to me, as I'm not a programmer; I'm not sure it's really written with the average reader in mind. "Morgan-Mar and the rest of the team behind this web-comic plan to go through all the movies, including the soon-be-made sequel trilogy" seems like uncited WP:CRYSTAL, and I think it probably would be more encyclopedic to wait and include what is rather than what they hope will be.
The conjecture "This may have been due to the introduction of Lightning Made of Owls, a new user-contributed comic on the Mezzacotta website" is linked simply to a comic and not to, say, an article that talks about the declining input. This sort of makes it uncited speculation.
There are some other things here and there, such as wordiness that any editor with time could tighten up. Again, though, like the draft about the comics colorist, I'd have to wonder if someone who's done three obscure webcomics is really all that notable. Again, I wish I could be enthusiastic, and I hope at least i'm being helpful. Hang in there, BOZ — you're one of the good ones! With regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 04:58, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
