POV statements
[edit]Yo, I really have a problem with the unsubstantiated "considered by many to be one of the best drummers in the world"-type praise. Can anyone offer any links to evidence of polls taken or something based on fact? Otherwise, I vote that this type of language is removed. We need to keep articles factual! Regards --Treebo 08:49, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
He's constante cited as such. Unlike Trés Cool. I personally would have no problem saying that in a conference, though a case would be made that all the bands he's played can show off his drumming skills very easily though (kinda like Chris Vrenna).Dskzero 01:41, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
discography section alphabetizing
[edit]should be by last then first name for solo artists (and of course regular first word for group names). Also for many albums by one artist/group, can use nested lists. — Shadowhillway 06:36, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
2500 albums
[edit]2500 albums sounds like a lot; not impossible, but it's a fairly big claim and I'd like to see the factual support. Does anyone know where that assertion came from? Dylan 14:43, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- It is in the newest DRUM! Magazine, June 2006.
- George 01:44, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- Was also originally mentioned on the official site jf.com (when it was still online w/ content). Cross referencing or lack therof will be a royal bitch to complete, so it will take time to get most if it checked and cited.

Pretty please cite sources, with sugar on top!
[edit]The tag got removed, and there's no sources, so I'm retagging it. Remixed 02:17, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- I swear this is still on my todo list, kudos for anyone that gets it going first

101 Templates
[edit]Should we really have a template for every band that Freese has been in on his page? It looks horrifyingly messy. King Bee 19:43, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- It doesn't look that bad, i'm certianly proud of it.. it shows alot of what he has accomplished... I mean, I like to compare it to top brass U.S. generals with all the stripes. Ok, i'll stop raving.

Pronunciation
[edit]I've heard people pronounce his last name Freeze, and I've also heard it pronounced Free See. Can somebody clarify?
- Numerous interviews confirm that it is pronounced "Freeze", like it is freezing! Check out the latest vandals dvd and aolsessions w/ sting

Perfect Circle
[edit]This may seem like a small gripe but I don't see why White and Iha are listed as "core members". If anything I'd keep it at Maynard, Howerdel, and Freese since they've done significant work on every album. Granted Iha and White have technically worked on two out of the three albums, I hold eMotive to a lower standard since it had no new material, only covers and remixes.
Image issue
[edit]The rights claim on Image:Joshfreese.jpg seems to be a mess. Perhaps someone involved here can sort it out. Otherwise, it will probably be deleted. - Jmabel | Talk 00:26, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Discography
[edit]I can't be alone in thinking this needs it's own article (after all it's only going to continue growing) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.84.15.237 (talk) 04:45, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Infobox image
[edit]What's up with people removing the image from the infobox? Over the last month or so at least 2 editors (Phillip.farmer and Dumdumdavis) and 3 IPs have removed the photo without giving any explanation. Phillip.farmer tried to replace it with a non-free image failing WP:NFCC that had been uploaded to Commons with either a false license or no evidence of permission, and was subsequently deleted. Is there some reason people keep removing the infobox image? I know it's not of great resolution, but it's decent enough at infobox display size and is the only freely-licensed photo of him currently available on any Wikimedia project. Full disclosure: I took the photo, but I have no objection to anyone uploading a better one under a valid free license. I just don't understand why people keep removing it wholesale. A half-decent image is better than none at all. The article is currently semi-protected to prevent this disruption, and any further removals without any explanation (via edit summary or post on the talk page) will be treated as vandalism and rolled back. --IllaZilla (talk) 18:31, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

Foo Fighters performed with several drummers at the Tribute concerts - Travis Barker, Nandi Bushnell, Matt Cameron, Oliver Shane Hawkins, Josh Freese, Omar Hakim, Chad Smith, Rufus Taylor, Jon Theodore, Brad Wilk, and Patrick Wilson. It would be more accurate to change this sentence to:
