The result of the move request was: footballer and disambiguation page moved. DrKay (talk) 12:39, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
– The current "Max Christie" page is a Scottish footballer who got the non-disambiguated page due to being made first. When googling "Max Christie", the basketball player comes up entirely. Current page view numbers have the basketball player page at around 5-10x the amount of daily views as the other pages combined, and yesterday received 873 views to 56 by the default page. - This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 05:05, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- What should happen to the current page? Move to Max Christie (footballer) perhaps? -Kj cheetham (talk) 19:02, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Kj cheetham, that seems correct for a Scotsman per Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(sportspeople)#Association_football_(soccer). -2pou (talk) 20:26, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose I would favour a disambiguation page and have the separate articles with brackets listed. Otherwise you risk lots of wrong internal links and confusion, even if one is slightly more popular than the other. Abcmaxx (talk) 23:33, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
- There's also Max Christie (politician) by the way.Abcmaxx (talk) 23:36, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
- A disambiguation page has been created at Max Christie (disambiguation). That page should be moved to Max Christie if there is consensus that there is no primary topic. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 05:05, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support 2nd, neutral on 1st per Abcmaxx. Crouch, Swale (talk) 06:18, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- Just a note for why I requested the move and did not just make a disambiguation page. Typically when I come across a potential move, I look at view counts, and often the pages get little views. Many times the difference in view counts between pages are negligible. In this case, however, the basketball player garners significantly more views than either of the other two pages, making it the primary topic by far. According to WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, "a topic is primary for a term with respect to usage if it is highly likely—much more likely than any other single topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term". Just based off of view counts, this qualifies. I would Oppose the 2nd and Support the first. Debartolo2917 (talk) 04:12, 21 May 2022 (UTC)

- Oppose 1st, support 2nd - no PRIMARYTOPIC, so the base page should be a dab page. GiantSnowman 15:34, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support moving footballer. Neutral on the basketball player. He's a projected first-round pick this upcoming draft, so it's likely he will become even more of a page view garner soon. It seems like it's primary topic now, but could still simply be a case of WP:TOOSOON and a temporary one year spike. He's a top prospect now, but sometimes after the pre-draft hype and early career, prominence begins to falter. Maybe just move footballer for now and revisit the basketball player in 6-12 months time after the NBA season begins. RedPatch (talk) 01:33, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose 1st, support 2nd. No primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:34, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
