Notability?

[edit]

I'm sorry, but I don't see why this restaurant is notable. There are no references establishing notability. Having a Michelin star is nice, but hardly makes a restaurant notable to society. I recommend that this article be deleted if no references in reliable sources showing notability are added. David Spector (talk) 21:06, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

References can be found: in addition to the Michelin guide, there's (The Guardian, Caterer and Hotelkeeper, AA, Lancashire Telegraph, The Telegraph, Hospitality and Catering News, The Cultivation of Taste: Chefs and the Organization of Fine Dining. those, that are reliable sources and not reader comments, are mostly run of the mill restaurant reviews and lists of non-notable local food awards.-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:40, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
AFDs for these have closed as "keep" or occasionally "no consensus" (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zafferano, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/De Echoput, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The House (restaurant), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nolet Het Reymerswale), and reviews in multiple national newspapers and guides are not run of the mill. The local newspaper reference isn't a list (it's primarily about the restaurant and the company that owns it) and none of the pages I linked to appear to be reader comments (only one of them, the Lancashire Telegraph, has any reader comments displaying at all, which I agree could not be used as sources). If you're looking for something to delete, see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Peerage and Baronetage#Proposed deletions - many articles with fewer sources there, and BLP issues as well as notability. Northcote (hotel)Northcote, Lancashire – Normal to DAB buildings by where not what, also may be ambiguous with Commons:Category:Northcote Hotel, Southsea, the Devon one and the East Riding of Yorkshire one is they are notable, alternatively move to Northcote (Lancashire) if brackets are better.
