Infobox spells the city he was born in "Calcutta", while the body spells it "Kolkata". I don't know what the guidance is on Indian place names like these, but it should be consistent

He is credited to have started the Chandradeep Mela in Hariharpara, an area known for its communal violence which helped stabilize the atmosphere – the communal violence helped stabilize the atmosphere? this sentence doesn't make sense
- (ah, reading it again, I now understand – there should be a comma at the end of "an area known for its communal violence" and the article should clarify what type of thing the Chandradeep Mela is. a community center? a group?)

tidy cites aren't a GA requirement, but cite 3 has "MP, Team" as the author and cites 3 and 16 have a website as the "work" (should be changed to "Millenium Post" and "India TV" respectively) and the article is inconsistent on if works are linked

That's on me, I should double checked the previous work done by other editors. Added two cites that back up the facts.

    - The two sources mention he was the ADG (Additional Director General) which is the highest office of the CID (criminal investigation department). While it's not explicitly mentioned, occupying the highest office would imply that he was "in charge" of the dept

is it necessary to specify the predecessors and successors were IPS officers? Commissioner of the Kolkata Police tells me that they're all IPS, and if Vineet Kumar Goyal wasn't, this is better explained in the body than the infobox

Sorry, I meant that Mitra being a Director General of Police was implied by Infobox officeholder stating he was Police Commissioner of Kolkata (or at least that's my understanding), so Infobox police officer having the rank is unnecessary clutter.
