Amazingly enough, I've discovered that the ultimate goldmine of film industry information isn't even mentioned in Wikipedia. Please, folks, Film Daily is too big to be overlooked! Film buffs, some of you must have gotten your hands on the microfilm, right? If not, you have to. I just found an article that announced the first movie trailer; every day in this publication, some amazing first pops up. Like "television camera captures woman commiting suicide in amazing scientific footage", or the charming "watch Bugs bunny in action as he shoots down savage indians like a classic parlour game." Or, "win the cartooning contest and win a Nazi helmet!" Or the casual mention of Walt Disney's prescreening of Snow White, and then the complete bewilderment and frenzy in the articles when the movie goes on to smash all of the old earning records. Good stuff, folks. I've only just grazed the surface; has anyone else out there really ventured into the archive? Anyone know more history on Film Daily? Who the hell published it, anyway? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sloggerbum (talk • contribs)
