Safia Haleem is a Pashtun historian, writer, broadcaster and anthropologist.

Life

Safia Haleem was born and raised in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunwkha which is located in northwestern Pakistan. She studied in her home town at the University of Peshawar and holds an M.A in English Literature.^[1] After years of working as a teacher and trainer in various cities across Pakistan, she was awarded a scholarship by the British Council to go to Scotland for further studies.^[2]
