I'm brazilian, born in Novo Hamburgo, though I proudly lived my entire life in Campo Bom.
I graduated from high school and enrolled in Computer Science bachelor's degree (in Universidade Feevale) at the age of 16, with free tuition. I want, in the future, to get a master's and doctor's degree in CS and, despite being agnostic, I want to study theology. I'm interested in linguistics, specifically in historic liguistics, phonetics and morphology, and want to get a bachelors or post-graduate degree in the area some day.
Considered a prodigy by my teachers, I was advanced twice at school: I joined the first grade at 5, and I did not complete 6th grade, being directly advanced to the 7th. To accomplish this, I took 5 tests in the 7th grade, and got 9+ in all of them. With these results, MEC/SEDUC (Education Department of my state) allowed me to advance in grade.
How I got into Wikipedia
[edit]I've used Wikipedia, at the time mainly the portuguese version, for a long time, but didn't know how to edit.
My first contribution was a suggestion at the brazilian wikipedia in 2018 ([1]) to change the page of the footballer Fágner, because the page was restricted and I couldn't edit by myself. Fágner was called for the 2018 World Cup, and the page wasn't yet updated.
Recently, I really got into editing and focusing more on the Portuguese Wikipédia, and in the month of August 2024, I started to contribute almost daily.
Interests and Hobbies
[edit]I'm very interested in football (fan of Grêmio), vexillology, linguistics and of course, computers, tech, programming and games. Today, I know Java and Python, and I want to learn Rust and the C language family. I want to learn Assembly too, but I don't know why. I'm interested in the nordic countries, specially Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Islands, which I know isn't a country, and I want to visit them some day.
Talking about linguistics, my native language is Brazilian Portuguese, and I'm fluent (C1) in English. I aim to start studying German in the near future, and later learn French and Greek.
How I contribute
[edit]I've got a personal project in Portuguese Wikipedia to expand the pages of the Gaucho (Rio Grande do Sul) cities, and later maybe of some other states. There are really short pages with no info whatsoever.
I contribute using the Random Article tool too, and searching for formatting and ortographic errors.
