About myself

[edit]

I will not bother broadcasting much about myself, other than that I make no secret I am an individual and very real human being. A man, to be more precise, a fairly young one. An American, a product, ethnically speaking, of that latest great nation, that industrial, entrepreneurial giant, that melting pot of European overflow molded into an independent mind, that testing ground of the great theological reformation. I have not forgotten the old Europe, and I seem to combine the assertiveness of the American mutt with the dignified mind of wiser peoples. Besides writing, I enjoy music, classical music, the most worthy kind, and sports here and there, like skiing and frisbee. I like all American foods, and Latin American, without favoritism, unless you mention cheese, which is to me what coffee and chocolate are to everyone else.

About my editing philosophy

[edit]

I consider myself something of an enthusiast of linguistic mastery. I seek not only precision in communication, but the beauty in language itself, especially English. This beauty is not simply in the harmony and lilt of sound, but how language can wonderfully unfold the splendor of truth itself. Ah, yes, there is such a thing as truth, and likewise such a thing as falsehood. In every area of science and abstraction there are true ideas and false. Wikipedia is for speaking the truth of what others say. There is no such thing as neutral facts.
