With apologies for the impersonal AWB-ness of the message... Thanks for your support on my recent request for adminship. It passed at 91/1/0, and I hope I can continue to deserve the community's trust. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you, and if I make a mistake be sure to tell me. I remember you listing yourself at the WikiProject. Since it has been changed (so now everyone is in categories), you may wish to add yourself there by putting the userbox or category on your user page. --Thorpe | talk 19:15, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

I just didn't see your name in the category, that's all. --Thorpe | talk 00:25, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging for Image:Redfaction2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Redfaction2.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

Console role-playing game

[edit]

Hi there, devoted one. You had the challenged pleasure of outputting your take on the cRPGs between my friend's huge improvement and my update, which mainly polished the additions of my friend. I tried to take your additions in mind, but may have been infallible, thus I hope you will re-review (a fun alteration of review, 'tis not?) the article, adding to the comprehensive whole should I have overlooked your addition. I greatly appreciate your input — after all, the jcRPG (Japanese console Role Playing Game) scene was greatly shadowed by the CRPG one for way long. Thanks. - RmM 16:29, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey Thunderbrand/Archive04, how is it going? Thank you for supporting my Request for adminship! It passed with a final vote of 73/1/1, which means that I have been granted adminship! Page move needed and adminship

[edit]

Hello We put in a Wikipedia:Move requests on March 8 to move Beat'em up to Beat 'em up, can you help us out?

Also I have been thinking about becoming an admin for a while, do you think its time for me or should i wait? --Larsinio 18:27, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for moving that page. on the adminshjip, i mean i really enjoy CVG stuff, because I feelits the subjects on which i have the most knowledge about with the most lack of substance (I know alot of computer science and politics, but those topics are well covered). So i dunno do you think it would really hurt me if my focus is on one particular wikiproject? I've just been looking forward to being an admin thats all :) Thanks for takign the time to answer my questions --Larsinio 22:19, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging for Image:Jango-Fett.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Jango-Fett.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

BF2 Merge

[edit]

The Special Forces expansion is an add-on to BF2, therefore it deserves to be part of the BF2 article. This is because it is too short to have its own article; the only text in the article's body was a list of additions and an extra small paragraph of description.--Zxcvbnm 22:06, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Computer games

[edit]

I have changed the title to List of deaths attributed to computer or video games and would like to request that you take a look again at this nomination. The attributions are verified, including, in at least one case the deputy coroner. There is no policy against such lists, and it serves a useful purpose in identifying deaths that have, in fact, been attributed to c&vg by reputable source. Yours, For great justice. 06:52, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Re:Majora's Mask

[edit]

At the current time, it has no scheduled date to be on the Main Page. If you like, you could suggest it for the Main Page at Wikipedia talk:Tomorrow's featured article. Raul654 makes all final decisions regarding whether an article will put on the Main Page; they are sometimes selected from those currently suggested at Wikipedia talk:Tomorrow's featured article and sometimes chosen randomly. No article has ever been on the Main Page as a featured article twice (to my knowledge). Cuiviénen, Sunday, 30 April 2006 @ 02:49 UTC

Hi. I'm concerned about edits on this article. It appears despite my sources provided on the talkpage, the anonymous editor that removes them/rebutes them hasn't provided any in his favor. According to policy, is my stance on this matter incorrect...? Or is his word taken over sources provided for said article...? I was convinced that my actions were in line with policy and correct fact here. Seeing as this can still be considered content dispute, I've asked a neutral adminstator to become invloved (you) at an attempt to make a final concensus. The relevant discussion is on the talkpage if you're interested. -ZeroTalk 02:15, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

I agree. I placed A Man In Black's purposal into effect in the current version, which I think is pretty fair. However, he reverted me earlier, so I not quite sure what this fellow wants. We've already acknowledged its not a direct sequel, merely an offshoot that incorparates different elements (compare Super Mario to Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga) to appeal to a larger audience. What do you think of the current version..? -ZeroTalk 04:22, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Responded on my talkpage and implemented an informal straw poll on the talk. -ZeroTalk 04:39, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh nevermind the strawpoll. Another user just implemented a change on the talkpage that I think is pretty good. -ZeroTalk 15:34, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Re: HL2

[edit]

Hi Dan!

Glad to see that I've already got someone interested. I've brough an article up to Featured status in the past (see Civil Air Patrol ) and I have a fair understanding of how difficult FAC can be. I just sent an e-mail to Valve asking for whatever information that they can provide us.

Let's see how this goes. Linuxbeak (drop me a line) 20:32, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Well, here's the thing: I've more or less fallen in love with the game. It's beautifully put together and is a lot of fun. I feel that it deserves to be given featured status. Granted, some work does need to be done. But, that's why we're here, after all! By the way, are you going to be attending Wikimania this year? Linuxbeak (drop me a line) 20:59, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

Bad News

[edit]

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but after maticulously going through the C&C: Tiberian series article pictures I have discovered that several of the picture(s) listed as being uploaded by you do not have sources. To be fair, I am going to give a two week amnesty period to allow you to source the images uploaded without a source. According to my survey, the following images you uploaded do not have a source:

  • Image:Cactb.jpg - please specify if you took the screenshot in game or found it somewhere

If no source can be provided after two weeks I will have to tag the images with a no source template, at which point they will in all likelyhood be deleted. TomStar81 07:47, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Re:Userbox help

[edit]

I'm guessing you want to split the column into sections (correct me if I'm wrong.) The way I did it was start off with:

{| style="float:right; border: #000000 solid 2px; -moz-border-radius: 10px; background: #FFFFFF;"
| <div style="-moz-border-radius-topright: 10px; -moz-border-radius-topleft: 10px;
background: #000000; text-align: center; padding: 3px;">'''[[Wikipedia:Babel|<font color = "white">
Informational boxes]]'''</div>
|-

and then treat it like a normal <div> table; in other words, you would then do this:

| <center>Section 1</center>
|-
| {{box}}
|-
| {{another box}}
|-
| <center>Section 2</center>
|-
| {{box}}
|-
| {{another box}}

and so on. Once it's done, you just end it with:

|}

Since it's a lot of code, you may want to make a seperate subpage for your userboxes. It's up to you.

If you don't want the border all roundy, just remove the "-moz-border-radius-topright: 10px; -moz-border-radius-topleft: 10px;" part. If all of that's confusing or I misinterpreted what you were asking, just let me know.

Oh, and I see my old design has gotten a couple of compliments. ;) Robert 21:51, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Mmmffmg... I really didn't want to create a sister article to hold the plot, but now that *two* people have agreed that it needed to be shortened... fine. I don't want to see this RFA blown because of detail. I've always held the viewpoint that more detail is better, but I suppose that's what sister articles are for, right? Feedback

[edit]

Ahoy! Many many thanks for the barnstar, I really enjoyed it :)

I wanted to ask where I might get feedback for a list I'm compiling, I wasn't sure if it would meet the peer review criteria so here I am. The article in question is List of Gradius titles which is in its early stages and I'm basically uncertain of its direction. Would you mind having a look at it when you have time? Cheers ~ Vic Vipr 13:59, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

I had it arranged similar to List of Final Fantasy titles but User:Ed_g2s had concerns with fair use for the logos so I removed them. Anyway, thanks for your time, I'll see about improving it best I can. ~ Vic Vipr 15:44, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

New table thing

HL2

[edit]

Congrats & nice job on the HL2 article. I've made it the selected article on the CVG portal. Perhaps you'd like to comment on the color scheme on the WPCVG talk page. I tried to fix up the colors somewhat but now they've been changed again, in my opinion it's rather horrible ATM. jacoplane 00:05, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Yes! Thanks for the barnstar, and a similar congratulations to you too! You had just as much part in making that article, so that FA credit is just as much yours as it is mine. Well done! Linuxbeak (drop me a line) 02:07, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

About the lambda; I tried looking for something like "Can also be written as", but non exsisted. I don't think it belongs in the article, but as a little notice would be nice. Havok (T/C/c) 20:13, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
