Regarding your username
[edit]Hi. Thanks for your contributions in Wikipedia, and I hope you enjoy your stay here. However, according to Wikipedia:Username, your current Wikipedia username may be inappropriate as it does not consist of any letters from the Latin alphabet or numbers, creating difficulties when other editors search for your user page and talk page.
You may like to change your user account name through Wikipedia:Changing username. There, you can request that your user account be renamed to a new name of your liking. Alternatively, you could also create a new account with a proper set of characters instead. Thanks in advance. :) ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 19:10, 24 May 2006 (UTC) ╫
- But it *is* a latin-derived character... —Nightstallion (?) 09:33, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, that is not correct. Thorn is a letter from Futhark, borrowed by rhw Latin alphabet for languages like Icelandic and old Scandinavian/English. ;) -Ghent 20:20, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism warning
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to FIFA World Cup Trophy, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others.
Thanks. Netsnipe 18:31, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Hello
[edit]I came to your user page incidentally and was satisfied with all these languages you know. I just wondered how you learned them. Is there a method you use? Please leave a message to my discussion page. I think the letter in your user name is the Turkish letter Ş which can look like Þ in e-mails etc. Bahar101 16:48, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Aramaic Wiktionary
[edit]Seeing your knowledge in Aramaic, I believe that you may be interested in something that has been recently proposed on Meta. If you'd like to help us get the Aramaic Wiktionary established, please add your name to the "Users interested in forming an editing community" section, and voice your support in the section labeled "Arguments in favour". Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Þ. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Þ~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
