Uploading and Using Images

[edit]

Hi Magnus Armstrong. I'm glad you asked...First, you will need to upload the image to Wikipedia itself ... when you do that, you will need to verify that you have the rights to use that image. All the details on licensing and uploading are located here WP:IMAGE. Let me know if you have any issues with the process! Happy editing! BMW(drive) 00:25, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hancock

[edit]

Hello, why did you undo my change? It's more redundant to state the full names yet again in the lead section than it is to state them in the Plot section, which is stand-alone. The lead section is just a concise overview of the article. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 01:01, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hulk

[edit]

I know you got the height stats from Marvel.com, but Wikipedia doesn't use them. The section on statistics under the Editorial Guidelines on the WP:Comics page states: "Consensus at the WikiProject is that the use of statistics sourced from in universe material and reference works, such as the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, Who's Who in the DC Universe or roleplaying game resources is discouraged. These statistics constitute fictional facts. Fictional facts are not facts per se (independently verifiable separate from the reporting source) but fiction, and rewriting or paraphrasing fiction is not transformative. As these handbooks are encyclopedic sources (albeit of fictional facts), we are a competing product (a free encyclopedia) and since we are in no way transforming this fictional material, using this material may constitute a breach of copyright. However, we should accurately record things in an encyclopedic manner; if The Guardian reports Spider-Man's strength as being such that he can lift ten tonnes, that can be discussed, and even contrasted with OHOTMU statistics within a section on Spider-Man's powers, bearing in mind the policy of neutral point of view and the undue weight section; if Spider-Man can be seen within publications lifting things greater than ten tonnes, then we should note that, and not present the statistic as anything other than it is; a meaningless statistic within both our universe and the fictional one in which Spider-Man's adventures are portrayed".

The fact that you took them from Marvel.com is irrelevant as they were first published in various Marvel handbooks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Odin's Beard (talkcontribs)

I don't know why it is not allowed to add such infos to the article of Alternate versions of Hulk. But other articles have these same infos. Please, can you give me a link where I can discuss it out? Arastunko (talk) 00:05, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MSN

[edit]

Hello. Just wondering why you undid my edit on the MSN article. The article is about the MSN collection of services as a whole. Windows Live Messenger is a specific service, and not even part of MSN any more. It's part of Windows Live now (clue's in the name) Jh39 (talk) 01:30, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator list

[edit]

Please stop this nonsense. I'll have to request a block of your account if you stubbornly continue to remove that link. Many editors have independently reverted your change and I'm sure you can do more productive things. Pascal.Tesson (talk) 21:14, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As I mentioned, there is already a better list of all user accounts with admin rights. I didn't remove the list, I just added it to the See also chapter. Arastunko (talk) 21:21, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Arastunko. Your edits have been undone more than once by more than one editor (page history) which indicates quite clearly that not everybody agrees with your changing of that link. Instead of going back there and repeatedly making that change again, it's time you start discussing about it if you really think that change is necessary. Please go to Wikipedia talk:Administrators and propose your change without edit warring over the position of a link. ≈ Chamal talk ¤ 03:00, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For the umpteenth time, you do not have consensus for this change. Please stop trolling: you don't contribute to the project beyond this silliness, you've never attempted to discuss this on the talk page, you've been reverted by multiple editors. If need be, I'll take this to WP:ANI. Pichpich (talk) 17:35, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
