Editor conflict
[edit]I have been adding more current photos I’ve taken of subjects and places in Sheboygan but User:Mrschimpf has reverted several of those edits, falsely claiming I’m some such of competitor in local media in Sheboygan which I don’t own any interests in media publishing in Sheboygan County. In one edit on Shoreline Metro, my photo of a bus in service was removed because he claimed permissions were questionable and the photo was posed. Then there is the challenge of updating the photo on Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Asher Heimermann (talk

help with vandalism
[edit]Since November 16, 2022, a user who is not logged in, just identified by their IP address has been adding information to the San Antonio FC page that has no sources to back it up with. Specifically they are adding a player to the roster when there is no evidence on the internet, either by the club, league, or anywhere else that this transaction has occurred. I have undone the edit multiple times but they keep adding it back. Please assist.
1/13/23 - The vandalism is occurring again. Would you be able to ban the IP addresses that are adding the incorrect information? TYIA

Administrators' noticeboard
[edit]Ha, thanks for that. I must have been on autopilot without noticing. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 14:02, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
My instinct to exclude this book from this category comes from my understanding of a phrase like “Māori literature” to align with something like: “But not everything expressed in words—even when organized and written down—is counted as literature. Those writings that are primarily informative—technical, scholarly, journalistic—would be excluded from the rank of literature by most, though not all, critics.”
(from britannica)
So I wonder whether the category needs a rename, because I suspect there are other non-fiction works previously excluded from it based on similar interpretations. It also currently carries the implication of Māori language literature, when, as far as I can see, all of the articles listed are about English language works, only with Māori cultural subject matter. — HTGS (talk) 04:35, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
Invitation to participate in a research
[edit]Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

The article Intrepid Records (Canada) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non notable record label. No coverage with sigcov. A search found only passing mentions.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

tag reverted
[edit]Hello,
I noticed that you recently reverted my PROD tag on the Brent Blakley article. I wanted to ask if it's possible to create an article that relies on only one reference. As a new contributor, I’m looking to improve my edits and contribute more effectively. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thank you! Rpgea (talk) 06:23, 29 October 2024 (UTC)

The article Coe Hill has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NATFEAT. "Named natural features are often notable, provided information beyond statistics and coordinates is known to exist. [...] If a Wikipedia article cannot be developed using known sources, information on the feature can instead be included in a more general article on local geography. For example, a river island with no information available except name and location should probably be described in an article on the river". The rather small hill seems to be of little significance, with no hope of expanding it to an encyclopedic article.

Michael M. Scott
[edit]I saw you deleted Michael M. Scott years ago and before I make it into a redirect to Michael Scott (film director) I wanted a second opinion on if they are indeed the same person. The Background section of the existing article starts with "Michael M. Scott was ..." but sources are scarce. I also just noticed Category:Films directed by Michael M. Scott. The situation needs a cleanup. Commander Keane (talk) 18:32, 2 November 2024 (UTC)

Pitiless Bronze: A Postpatriarchal Examination of Prepatriarchal Cultures
[edit]Hi Bearcat. You did some minor cleanup on Pitiless Bronze: A Postpatriarchal Examination of Prepatriarchal Cultures about a week ago, but it's creator has since moved it from there user sandbox to the mainspace. I was going to draftify it but then thought it might need to go to AfD instead. Perhaps you could take another look at it and assess whether it should be AfD'd or should be draftified. FWIW, the article's creator appears to the trying to create an article about a book they wrote and most of it appears to be OR. I was going to tag it for speedy deletion per WP:A7, but that criterion doesn't apply to books. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:07, 3 November 2024 (UTC)

Wiki link does not work
[edit]Hi world!
We are using the Sandbox. In the article we are working on, this link must be consider: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instituto_Aeroespacial_de_El_Salvador
From the article/page we select the phrase "El Salvador Aerospace Institute (ESAI)" as the place where we want to link the page/article.
However, whenever we try to use/paste the link in feature tool box it gives us a link with an arrow in the corner but we just want "the blue text" link. We already tried also the word: Instituto Aeroespacial de El Salvador which is the word that appears below in the link of the page/article: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instituto_Aeroespacial_de_El_Salvador
but again, it does not work at all.
Could you please advice us what to do to get only a blue color link without the arrow at the end of the link?
Many thanks! Gaby273827362863 (talk) 06:41, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
