Howdy and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your edits to various Japan-related and US founding fathers related articles. Great work! I did, however, want to remind you to be sure to not include original research (things not found in books or other publications), and be sure to avoid inserting opinions. I am attaching a welcome message below, since it has some useful links. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if I can help with anything, and keep up the great work!. Thanks again, --Hansnesse 19:42, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hello, Benfranklinlover, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Per your note here I have moved the missing paragraph to the talk page for futher disucussion. I removed it because it seemed to be largely an opinion, which (see WP:NPOV policy). Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thanks, --TeaDrinker 02:15, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted your recent edit to Newcastle United F.C., and its only fair to tell you why. I removed your addition on the grounds that Wikipedia is not a news service, and articles should provide a general overview of a topic rather than a recap of recent events. However, Wikipedia's sister project Wikinews welcomes articles on current events, such as reports on sporting events and transfer news. Thanks, Oldelpaso 18:05, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Sorry, I don't work for Heifer International. That must be another Steve Dufour. Keep up the good work here. Steve Dufour 02:21, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Japan taskforces

[edit]

In order to encourage more participation, and to help people find a specific area in which they are more able to help out, we have organized taskforces at WikiProject Japan. Please visit the Participants page and update the list with the taskforces in which you wish to participate. Links to all the taskforces are found at the top of the list of participants.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and thank you for helping out! ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 08:16, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Dog and the Wolf, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://ancienthistory.about.com/library/bl/bl_aesop_dog_wolf.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Freedom fighters

[edit]

Hi - reinstated for some revision work, see User talk:Oscarthecat#Point_Dume_Freedom_Fighters. Regards, --Oscarthecat (talk) 20:41, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The revisions don't seem to have made the article any more credible, so I've posted an AFD for it. --Oscarthecat (talk) 09:21, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Benfranklinlover! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 313 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Jeff Stockwell - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
