GFDL
Hi! I noticed that you have uploaded File:Greenland in USA map.jpg and File:Space Guard map.jpg as {{GFDL}}. Both files are based on maps that is licensed {{GFDL}} and {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}}. Is there any reason you did not include the {{Cc-by-sa-3.0}} too? --MGA73 (talk) 07:00, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- Hard to say, that was several years ago. It may have been an oversight - thanks for pointing it out! Chetsford (talk) 04:40, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah it is impossible to remember all edits. If you don't mind you could perhaps just add it now and then the licenses match. --MGA73 (talk) 14:20, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, of course, I'll do that today. Thank you, again, for bringing it to my attention. Much appreciated! Chetsford (talk) 15:34, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

- Consensus was reached to deprecate Wikipedia:Editor assistance.
- Following a Request for Comment the Book namespace was deprecated.
- Wikimedia previously used the IRC network Freenode. However, due to changes over who controlled the network with reports of a forceful takeover by several ex-staff members, the Wikimedia IRC Group Contacts decided to move to the new Libera Chat network. It has been reported that Wikimedia related channels on Freenode have been forcibly taken over if they pointed members to Libera. There is a migration guide and Wikimedia discussions about this.
- After a Clarification request, the Arbitration Committee modified Remedy 5 of the Antisemitism in Poland case. This means sourcing expectations are a discretionary sanction instead of being present on all articles. It also details using the talk page or the Reliable Sources Noticeboard to discuss disputed sources.

Hey, sometimes discussions may get heated but this is no reason to throw the towel. When the heat of the discussion is off, I expect you to answer my point. Best regards.--V. E. (talk) 17:56, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'm fine, thanks. I didn't "throw the towel"; my point has been made adequately and any further reply by me would be superfluous. Chetsford (talk) 17:59, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'm glad that you are fine. But I really wonder what you think about the Evrensel source stating Turkuvaz Media Group, under which A Haber operates, published fake news.
- "Sabah-ATV Grubu seçim gecesi İstanbul’da oylar Binali Yıldırım aleyhine dönünce pervasız bir yalan haber üretimine girişti."[1]
- Translation: "Sabah-ATV Group started a reckless production of 'fake news' when the votes turned against Binali Yıldırım in Istanbul on election night."
- The author refers to Turkuvaz Media Group with Sabah-ATV. You can see the list of media outlets they have here. Also the quote from the same source that proves its direct relationship with A Haber, "Bünyesinde Sabah, Takvim, ATV, A Haber gibi iktidara yakın yayın yapan gazete ve televizyonlar bulunan Turkuvaz Medya Grubu Yönetim Kurulu Başkan Vekili Serhat Albayrak’ın “Ticari itibarının zedelendiği” iddiasıyla açılan davada Sözeri ile birlikte Evrensel ve yayıncı şirketten aynı suçlama ile toplamda 200 bin TL talep ediliyor."[2]
- Doesn't publishing fakenews make them unreliable?--V. E. (talk) 18:10, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
Can you help with Iteris request?
Hello Chetsford, it's my understanding that you have replied to some requests for Iteris in the past and I wanted to see if you are willing to review a new request that I have made? I'm an employee at the company and have taken on the role of making requests here, so I'm grateful for any help or pointers you can give. If you can spare a minute, the request is to add new financial results and a recent acquisition. Best, David Sadeghi at Iteris, Inc. (talk) 23:34, 15 June 2021 (UTC)

- Consensus has been reached to delete all books in the book namespace. There was rough consensus that the deleted books should still be available on request at WP:REFUND even after the namespace is removed.
- An RfC is open to discuss the next steps following a trial which automatically applied pending changes to TFAs.
- IP addresses of unregistered users are to be hidden from everyone. There is a rough draft of how IP addresses may be shown to users who need to see them. This currently details allowing administrators, checkusers, stewards and those with a new usergroup to view the full IP address of unregistered users. Editors with at least 500 edits and an account over a year old will be able to see all but the end of the IP address in the proposal. The ability to see the IP addresses hidden behind the mask would be dependent on agreeing to not share the parts of the IP address they can see with those who do not have access to the same information. Accessing part of or the full IP address of a masked editor would also be logged. Comments on the draft are being welcomed at the talk page.
- The community authorised COVID-19 general sanctions have been superseded by the COVID-19 discretionary sanctions following a motion at a case request. Alerts given and sanctions placed under the community authorised general sanctions are now considered alerts for and sanctions under the new discretionary sanctions.
Nice, this is great! I'm pretty sure Seddon was the one who reverted all the blanking: Special:Diff/1031681274. The person who wrote all of that content remains at-large. Dr. Swag Lord (talk) 20:41, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Brown Bear Car Wash
On 8 July 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Brown Bear Car Wash, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that sculptures by Lorenzo Ghiglieri have been installed at the Royal Palace of Madrid, the White House, and Brown Bear Car Wash? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Brown Bear Car Wash. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Brown Bear Car Wash), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
