Possible DYK for Amanda Staveley
[edit]Amanda Staveley looks like it would make a good DYK. Maybe a hook like "Did you know that before Amanda Staveley turned down a marriage proposal from Prince Andrew she was a model and Cambridge student, and later became a self-made multi-millionaire?" Not sure the sourcing is solid enough, though. The source used in the article now says the proposal was "widely believed" to exist, so it would be good to get another. — Brianhe (talk) 19:45, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
- Hello, thanks for the idea, and for your help on the page. I haven't looked into the DYK suggestions but it seems like a good idea. I'll have to look into a better source -there are lots around.--Dalmeny (talk) 22:36, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
- I'm going to go ahead and submit, the remaining issues can be clarified as we go. Cheers — Brianhe (talk) 01:21, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- It has been accepted and is in the DYK queue now. You should get a credit for the DYK when it appears on the front page very soon. - Brianhe (talk) 17:45, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Robert Sangster
[edit]Great work on the Sangster article. I'd long meant to expand it including material from the book Horsetrader, but never got around to spending the time on doing it, so its good to see the article expanded like you've done. --Bcp67 (talk) 19:54, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
- Horsetrader is a good book and an enjoyable read too, although the copy I have was published around 1996 and doesn't cover the last few years of Sangster's life. He deserves a good article here, he was a huge figure in the game, we can see his influence throughout racing today with the Northern Dancer bloodline, and he lived life to the full too!!--Bcp67 (talk) 18:16, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
