Hello! I stumbled on to your contributions and wanted to leave an important link regarding copyright policy that we have here on Wikipedia. Please read through WP:COPYRIGHT. Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material (and unless stated, any material on the internet is copyrighted). That being said, your article Savenac was almost entirely word-for-word from a website about Montana. Hauman G. Haugan (born November 7, 1840 in Oslo, Norway) also known as H. G. Haugan, was a Norwegian-born American railroad executive. H. G. Haugan served with the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad, as land commissioner and comptroller. H. G. Haugan was a partner and shareholder of the banking firm Haugan & Lindgren. H. G. Haugan served with the State Bank of Chicago. Haugan in Mineral County, Montana was named for H. G. Haugan.

Well you just beat me

to adding a picture of J Fjelde's Minnesota Monument, but that's cool. What really brought me here is wondering why you included information about his grandson in a footnote from a 1943 source that has no mention of him? I don't really care because I trust your edit, but . . .. ? Also if you add anything to your user page than your name will appear in blue instead of red, thus making checking your edits a bit easier on those of us who do that sort of thing. Somehow I ended up not finishing this message and posting it anyway. In fact I very much like your "minor" edits and am just curious about why you deleted that one sentence. It isn't OR/SYNTH at all but just plain truth, of the sort which the average reader of Wikipedia, but not the average reader of Bugge, might need explained. The problem was that I said England instead of France! Anyway I keep meaning to add more to the article and hope to put something in the last section eventually. Hey! Thanks for cleaning up articles :) I notice you add a few external links to the Norwegian Wikipedia, such as for instance "Erich Christian Dahl" in E. C. Dahls Brewery. It is a lot better to just leave it as a red link. There is nothing wrong with red links, quite the contrary: they encourage editors to create new articles and is an important reason so many new articles are created. Also, any external link in the prose is not good; relevant external links should go at the end. It is also very frustrating for non-Norwegians to get sent to a foreign-language site without any warning (external links and references should always be marked as such if not in English). Margaretakirken

Hi Hauganm. I notice you added information on the Margaretakirken to the article on Saint Margaret of Scotland. Which is great, but it appears to contradict the article about Maridalen, which says that the Margaretakirken is dedicated to Margaret the Virgin. Can you confirm which is correct? According to that Website's "about" page, content on the website is copyrighted with rights reserved unless more liberal license is noted. Copyright block

I have indefinitely blocked your account. My investigations above show that you have been placing copyrighted content onto Wikipedia for years (both through translation from other languages and copying English sources) in spite of multiple warnings to stop dating back to 2008. You were told to read copyright policy many times. There is no reason, then, for one example, that you should have copied content from this explicitly copyrighted page into the article Orin D. Haugen. For instance, that source says the following:

During vigorous training at Camp Mackall, NC, Col. Haugen earned the nickname "Hard Rock" derived from his stern discipline combined with respect and affection. This was a true tribute to his durability.

This is the content you placed in the article, bolded where copying is verbatim:

This differs from the source by one word.

The source says:

He joined the unit on Nov. 16, 1940, in the morning, and that afternoon made his first parachute jump. The Major served as Battalion Commander, 502nd PIR, then Executive Officer, 505th PIR.

You placed this in the article:
