Edit should not have been undone
[edit]This should not have been done I am using my own knowledge to supply information to everyone out there. To widen knowledge Joebower (talk) 17:50, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
- Hi - I wasn't the person to undo your edit, but I was about to do so before Mean as custard did it. Your edit was entirely unsourced - it contained numerous assertions about biomedical information, which would all need to be referenced to the standards outlined in WP:MEDRS. You should also consider whether the content you wanted to add is best suited to the Blood Pressure article, or whether it would be better working on the Electrocardiography article. Finally, your edits weren't formatted properly - try using the 'Show Preview' button to see how edits will look on the screen before hitting 'Publish'. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 17:53, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- Also - your user page. You shouldn't really have all that content up there - you can use your sandbox (see the Sandbox link at the top of the screen) to practise editing. WP:UP gives guidance about what is and is not allowed on user pages - see WP:UP#COPIES in particular. I'm about to put a welcome template on your talk page - it's got lots of links to tutorials, guidance on adding content and new articles, etc. Happy editing GirthSummit (blether) 17:57, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Blood pressure. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Serols (talk) 18:35, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Peak expiratory flow. Stop this now - you have been reverted multiple times, and I have explained to you why these edits are not appropriate. GirthSummit (blether) 18:49, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. For completeness, see also the bold-revert-discuss cycle. I know that's a lot of links to read through - please take time to do so however. I appreciate that you probably spent a lot of time and effort writing the content you have been trying to add, but believe me - it won't remain on the page in its current state, another editor will remove it very quickly after you post it because it does not comply with policy. Please let me know if you have any questions. GirthSummit (blether) 19:22, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Joebower, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
