Question

[edit]

Did i do something bad? Why did you post on my talk page? Xdwev vfre2wwd (talk) 19:09, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Xdwev vfre2wwd: I welcomed you to Wikipedia because at that time I believed that you would make constructive edits. However, I would like to ask you to please familiarize yourself with our rules. Thanks. Kovcszaln6 (talk) 07:18, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Algeria

[edit]

First, thank you for mediating. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:38, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Second, it appears that the editors are engaging in back-and-forth discussion. DRN Rule D doesn't allow that (and most of the rules don't). If you want to allow it to continue, you can state that you will allow it to continue as long as it is productive. If you don't think that it is productive, I would suggest cautioning the editors. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:38, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reaching out.
I am aware that Rule D doesn't allow back-and-forth discussion, however, at the start it seemed constructive enough that I allowed it. But it is definitely not helpful anymore.
Thanks. Kovcszaln6 (talk) 08:02, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good day to you @Kovcszaln6, the Algeria RfC ethnic groups vote that began on Aug 28th 2024 has not been concluded yet 2 weeks in advance, what time do you plan to conclude it if I may ask ? Potymkin (talk) 15:37, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thank you for reaching out. In order to avoid any future trouble (see WP:INVOLVED) I decided that it's best if I don't close the RfC myself. As I have stated, I'd suggest that you request the RfC's closure at WP:RFCL. Thanks. Kovcszaln6 (talk) 15:47, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies

[edit]

My apologies for being carried away in that off topic discussion, i was a bit upset that we got back into the same subject after finally reaching a consensus about it. Nourerrahmane (talk) 17:32, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, it's fine. :) Kovcszaln6 (talk) 17:45, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

[edit]

Hi Kovcszaln6. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Fastily 09:42, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:42, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
