Whack!

You've been whacked with some of the cookies I've stolen.[waste of other people's food]

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to throw random stuff at robots for no reason.

Future dates

[edit]

What calendar are you operating under?... "September 13, 2021 was over half a month ago"?... It's only August 31/September 1 right now (depending on timezones). Please stop incorrectly changing things to past tense when they have clearly not occurred yet, thank you. Magitroopa (talk) 20:19, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

When I went to read the article, I started to erroneously think it was late September instead of late August and it took until your second revert for me to realize my mistake. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 22:31, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
trout Self-whale... for when a trout just isn't enough, though this condemning conundrum could conceivably call for a colossal coordinated collision course with Cthulhu or a larger leviathan instead, but additional whales and trouts may be used for good measure.

'istorical

[edit]

Re your query at Darius the Mede, the 'h' is indeed silent in various English dialects for historical (along with other words derived from French starting with h followed by a vowel), and those speakers preface the words with 'an' instead of 'a'. But yeah, it's awful. Thankfully, it is becoming less common. Feel free to fix any such instances. 🙂--Jeffro77 (talk) 00:34, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

National varieties of English

[edit]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Flag of Ghana, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. —Wasell(T) 🌻 04:24, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, MrPersonHumanGuy,

I find it worrisome than instead of working on improving the encyclopedia, you are spending a lot of your time on a User page about a one day event happening 8 months into the future. On this page, you have fictitious comments made by editors in 2025 so they are entirely made up remarks but they are attributed to real people. This page could easily be tagged for CSD U5 speedy deletion as it has nothing to do with building up this project and is like some hobby or webhost activity.

But rather than tagging this page for deletion, right now, I'd like to instead encourage you to spend more of your time on productive activities that help improve Wikipedia like copy-editing, anti-vandalism, article creation and improvement, all of the mundane tasks that most editors fill their time doing rather than working on personal projects in your User space. April 1st is just one day out of an entire year and your skills and talents could be used right now. If you have questions about this, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:50, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'll admit that, since April of this year, I have sometimes gotten quite carried away with figuring out how I would outdo myself next year. As for the ficticious comments, I started making all of those up after I got inspired by a joke AfD page for ChatGPT created by Awesome Aasim for April Fools 2023. This revision shows how that page looked before other editors began to add to it. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 10:43, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
