- @Sumitbangwal: I'm not sure what changes to EIILM University you are referring to, since you made no edits with account before. Some changes were made before by some anonymous editors, but none were properly sourced, so they were reverted. If you want to discuss any changes, try the article's talk page. --Muhandes (talk) 17:45, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
Who the hell are you why should we talk to you, it is you who is provioding a misleading information and everytime we correct it you make changes to that you tell me what time you want to discuss don't just revert our changes and go for vacation as your page always says you're on vacation you want to discuss come over for a discussion we're ready for it what are you getting of it by providing a misleading info and a fake propeganda none your sources are valid none of your sources have a credibility we are providing all the info present on HRDDSIKKIM official portal, you evrytime provide ranking and media houses links they don't have any credibility in our system go for UGC, HRDDSIKKIM and then start this edit war as we'll also revert as many times you edit our changes if you have any doubts get a clarification from us otherwise mind your own business. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sumitbangwal (talk • contribs) 12:22, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Sumitbangwal: Please be civil, I can guarantee that cursing will get you nowhere. If you wish to contribute to Wikipedia you will have to follow its guidelines. Please read WP:BRD carefully to understand the real situation. You were making changes to the article, this is called being Bold. I am questioning your changes, this is called Reverting. We now Discuss the changes. If you keep repeating your edits, this is disruptive editing, and if you keep doing it, you will be blocked. You have now also clarified that you have a conflict of interests so you should not edit the article at all. Please make suggestions at the article's talk page. --Muhandes (talk) 13:03, 28 June 2019 (UTC)

you are spoiling the future of the students of eiilm university damnit you already spoiled mine — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sumitbangwal (talk • contribs) 13:36, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Sumitbangwal: By refusing good advise and continuing your disruptive editing it is you who is "spoiling the future of the students of eiilm university". I understand your anger but this edit does not show that you desire discussion, and you were warned for the last time. If you want to constructively improve the article, use the article's talk page to make suggestions. --Muhandes (talk) 13:40, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
you have already done the damage i'm just trying to minimalise it i don't see that article talk page you suggest — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sumitbangwal (talk • contribs) 13:47, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
by just registering a case against the registrar and VC dosen't make eiilm university fake you are misleading all the BGV organisations who are pickinmg up your info to verify us as EIILM University portal is not up anymore and it's the HRDDSIKKIM which is the verifying authority for us — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sumitbangwal (talk • contribs) 13:52, 28 June 2019 (UTC)

me and my 2 juniors were laid off from HCL technologies and are not working for past 1.5 year now you tell me what is the problem to discuss here ahy are you providing those media links there which are obviously based on proceedings still pending under judiciary and before any judgement you claim eiilm university is a fake university it was never shut down and for your info it was in bhudang not jorethang it was just an office of eiilm in jorethang isn't that mentiomned in the university portal — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sumitbangwal (talk • contribs) 14:07, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Sumitbangwal: I truly empathise with you, but Wikipedia just reports the facts and tries to keep a neutral point of view. The article was hijacked and vandalised repeatedly in the past, so care is taken now and every edit is scrutinized, especially by editors with a conflict of interests. I started a section for discussion at the talk page. --Muhandes (talk) 14:14, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
Clarification on removed lines from AIIMS Rishikesh page
Bansalitsme (talk) 19:06, 27 July 2019 (UTC)Sir recently you made a revision and removed from AIIMS Rishikesh- President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind awarded degrees to the first batch of students of AIIMS Rishikesh.[1] Why it had to be removed?
- @Bansalitsme: As the edit summary says, I removed it because I think it is trivial. It seems quite obvious to me. --Muhandes (talk) 19:40, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

Whatever you've done to the Canadian certification template doesn't work
Every page using the Canadian certification template showing 0 for the sales value, so something has evidently gone wrong. Ss112 16:57, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Ss112: Not my experience, and not what the Template:Certification Table Entry/Sales/testcases show, but of course I reverted until further testing. Can you please supply a few articles where it didn't work? Did they use
|digital=true
even-though the digital certificaation was discontinued in 2016? --Muhandes (talk) 17:07, 3 September 2019 (UTC)- Yes, they did. I noticed it on Señorita (Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello song) and Only Human (Jonas Brothers song). I removed the digital parameter to test before you undid it and they still showed 0. Ss112 17:10, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Ss112: I just spent some more time testing and found nothing so I am a bit baffled. I re-applied my change as-is without changing anything, removed
|digital=true
from these articles, and they do not show 0, so for sure not every page shows 0... Can you please give other examples which do not work? --Muhandes (talk) 18:24, 3 September 2019 (UTC)- I didn't look at any other examples; I assumed it was just not working from those. Are you saying that if instances of this template still use
|digital=true
that they will show 0? Because I don't think that's wise, unless you're planning to get a bot to remove all instances of|digital=true
. There's going to be a hell of a lot showing 0 now and that's not very helpful. Can it remain deprecated and not cause 0 to show? Ss112 18:29, 3 September 2019 (UTC)- @Ss112: Yes, I believe they should display 0 since the digital certification was discontinued in 2016 and these are not digital certifications. It also produces incorrect footnote * instead of ‡. I could have set a separate category just for fixing these, but since we are now fixing many Canada certifications anyway which did not have
|certyear=
this is the best time to fix them. Category:Pages using Certification Table Entry-Sales with missing information (0) is slowly being filled with these articles and they will be fixed in no time if I know the people involved. --Muhandes (talk) 18:44, 3 September 2019 (UTC)- Obviously users were just mistaken with thinking they were digital certifications—I think users probably thought they should add
|digital=true
considering most sales of songs these days take place digitally (and streams are only digital). CD singles are basically no longer a thing in the Western world, so one can see why a lot would arrive at the conclusion they should include it. This doesn't make the certification incorrect. Hopefully these can be cleared up soon then, because a value of 0 is obviously not right. Ss112 18:54, 3 September 2019 (UTC)- @Ss112: FWIW, I corrected all instances where
|digital=true
was the source of the zero value. The remaining ones are due to other reasons. --Muhandes (talk) 18:08, 4 September 2019 (UTC)- That's good, but I'd say there are a few outliers. For example, I just clicked through to a random example, Scared to Be Lonely, and it still had 0 for the value and
|digital=true
in place. Edit: Never mind, that might have been due to it not having a certyear. Ss112 18:22, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi Muhandes We are adding additional information about the college but it seems you have some problem as it is been reverted thrice and it was available from so many years and only modifying has been taken place check and revert the changes and also can see most of the other univeristy and college profiles having the courses information. - @Mandayam Vasu Shyam: Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. First, before moving on, since we are going to be communicating through talk pages, please see the Talk page guidelines. Specifically, please add comments at the end of the page and please sign your messages.
- Second, you are obviously very closely related with MVJ College of Engineering and therefore have an obvious conflict of interest. I added a boilerplate message to your talk page with some guidelines, but most importantly, please read the plain and simple conflict of interest guide. As it clearly requires:
do not edit articles about yourself, your family or friends, your organization, your clients, or your competitors
. - Finally, to the point itself, for every edit I made, there is an edit summary where I usually point to the relevant rule, guideline, or simply logical explanation to what I did. For example, I removed the list of progframmes since WP:UNIGUIDE, which is widely accepted, says that programmes should not be listed. If you want to add anything to the article, please make an edit request on the article talk page and me or another editor will be happy to assist. --Muhandes (talk) 11:40, 9 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Muhandes: Thanks for guiding and updating some part of the information in the article page. As mentioned by you i have made a request for the addition of content in the talk page of the article along with the reference links. Also guide me on what would be the appropriate content for a institute like us as we have only limited information on the page. This will help me to understand to give the write content or request for edit. Thanks in advance and awaiting your help. Mandayam Vasu Shyam (talk) 12:03, 11 September 2019 (UTC)Mandayam Vasu Shyam
- @Mandayam Vasu Shyam: Thanks for letting me know about the edit request. Either myself, or another editor, will address it soon. As for content, see WP:UNIGUIDE. Also, there is no need to ping me on my own talk page. --Muhandes (talk) 12:23, 11 September 2019 (UTC)

- Dear Aravind. Outside very specific cases where privacy is important, communication in Wikipedia is performed through talk pages for transparency. Please open an account so we can better communicate.
- As for the changes in TKM College of Engineering, I made quite a number of edits, practically rewriting the article, so you will have to refer to specific changes if you want my comments. Anyway, I always leave an WP:edit summary so the reason for the edit is usually transparent and obvious. Finally, I point you to WP:COI and ask that you follow those guidelines. Best regards. --Muhandes (talk) 07:33, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
- PS, I will be on a business trip in the next week or so (I am just boarding a plane as we speak), so I may be less responsive. --Muhandes (talk) 07:34, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
Thank you
Hello, Muhandes
Thank you for the welcome and the links, I have read a few and they are very useful!
- Also a quick question, do I need to include references when adding a certification table entry for a song? (Australia in particular) because I have seen some edits include them and some without.
- Thanks again, TF0771 (talk) 20:19, 9 November 2019 (UTC)
- @TF0771: Usually not. The point of {{Certification Table Entry}} is that if you provide the required details (for example
|certyear=
for|region=Australia
) then it creates the reference itself. In that case creating another reference is redundant. You only need to create a reference, using|certref=
, when the automatic referencing does not work. --Muhandes (talk) 21:56, 9 November 2019 (UTC) - @Muhandes: Thanks, I’ll remember this when adding entries

- @33sam33: please don't shout. If you shout again, I will simply ignore you. I had a second look at the Mi Reflejo certification and I think there is some error in RIAA's website. On one hand it that it is only a Gold certification and on the other hand it says 6 million, which cannot be. Ask Billboard is usually considered extremely reliable, and they are saying about 400k sales in the US total, which aligns with 6x Latin. If you want to further discuss this, please use the article's talk page, where it might gather more attention. --Muhandes (talk) 19:49, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
Billboard isn't reliable? For instance they said that demi lovato sold 24 million records in the USA in 2017 when at that time she was having 30m+ units based on CERTIFICATIONS alone. And can you please take another look at it because RIAA's mi reflejo web page states it's certified 6x platinum and sold six million units. I don't understand where you saw gold certification 33sam33 (talk) 04:50, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
- @33sam33: Nielsen SoundScan is considered very reliable. Sales are almost always somewhat lower than certifications because they don't include some components which are certified. If you wish to discuss the reliability of Nielsen SoundScan please do so at WP:ALBUM or some other public place. To see the Gold certification, click on "MORE DETAILS". Lets continue the discussion on the article's talk page. --Muhandes (talk) 09:05, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
Regarding contents and writing style in a page
Hi, I would like bring to your notice that the style of writing used in this page (shown below) is not according to wikipedia standards and resembles more like an advertisement. Additionally most details mentioned here are factually incorrect(or outdated) and lack citations. Hence may I humbly request you to take a look at the same.Thanks.

Improper rejects
Dear Muhandes,
Dr. Vijay Balse, graduate of 1985 batch of Chemical Engineering at UDCT is quite well know enity. (Much more than many other listed there) Dr. Balse was the USA' national "Champions of Champion" of famous "Jeopardy!" show and hence his fame. Edits were provided with links to media articles

- Anonymous, I suggest that you read this essay which summarizes it much better than I would. If Balse is notable, write an article about him to verify it, and then add it to the list of alumni. Best regards. --Muhandes (talk) 09:04, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

- Hi Anonymous. I have no idea what you are talking about, or why you approach me. If you want my assistance you will have to be much more specific. Specifically, if you wish me to assist on creating an article on some subject, you will have to supply ample source to show notability (please read the notability guideline). You will also need to point me at some secondary reliable sources, and I doubt the "poetry web site maintained by Mr. Kevin" counts (though I may be wrong, I have no idea what this website is). All this communication would be much easier if you create an account. Best regards. --Muhandes (talk) 12:58, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
Honorifics
Hi again, question you make be able to answer easily. In university articles, for instance, the infoboxes are full of names and often use prefixes like Dr., Prof, etc. I don't think those belong. Where is the policy on this. WP:HONORIFICS seems to apply to bio articles on an individual. Thanks. MB 03:19, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
Your Wikibreak
Hi Muhandes, I saw the message on your user page about being disillusioned with editing and taking a Wikibreak... I can't blame you for getting so fed up with the articles relating to Indian schools, I genuinely think that the fact that there was a whole RfC on WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES which has subsequently been completely ignored is the one of the very worst failings on the whole of Wikipedia, because 99.9% of schools will never be notable and the only sources for them are the school's own website and social media, so they just turn into promotional articles. We'll always respect and appreciate the work you do on chart and certification templates, and you're always welcome on those pages. Stay safe and healthy, and hope to see you back soon. Please help me with the certifications section on Stars Dance
I'm glad to greet you and I hope you're doing pretty well. I would like to ask you for help, since the Selena Gomez's album Stars Dance has been officially certified Gold in Colombia by the Universal Music Group branch in that country, but I would like to know how can I reference this reliably and properly. I'm from this country and I consider it very important to appear on the article. I appreciate so much the help you can bring me. Best regards, --Diegomezbus (talk) 18:54, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Diegomezbus: You cannot add this as certification, since Universal is the record label, not a certification body (by the way, Asociación Colombiana de Productores de Fonogramas used to be the certifying body for Colombia, but I think it is no longer active. Maybe you can do some research and find out what is the current certifying body?), but if you have a reliable source that shows that Universal awarded this award, you can add it to the Commercial performance section. If you need help with how to add this citation, see WP:CITE. I'd be happy to show you how if this is your first time. --Muhandes (talk) 19:07, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your answer, I apologize for the delay in answering. I would really appreciate it if you could help me with it, since I haven't done it before, it would be my first time, besides English is not my dominant language. By the way, as the certification mentioned by Universal is from 2014, isn't it proper to asociate it to Asincol since in that year Asincol was active? Anyway, I'll try to research which is the current entity in charge of certifications. Again, thank you so much for your attention and time provided. Best regards, --Diegomezbus (talk) 04:26, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Diegomezbus: I'll be happy to assist. The only source I have for this certification is this, which can work, but a secondary source is preferred. The source does not Asincol, so it cannot be mentioned as a certification. If you have another source, it might be possible. For now, I can mention it on the Commercial performance section but I have no idea what amount of sales it refers to, so I will need a source for that as well. --Muhandes (talk) 12:48, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) I hope you don't mind Muhandes, but I thought I should add something here as a Brit living in Colombia and who edits a lot of music articles... I've tried for years to find out what has happened to ASINCOL and music certifications in the country, and drawn a blank. I can't even find a postal address or any updated social media for them, and yet apparently they still hand out gold discs as the editor states above, but bizarrely without any ceremony or notification to the wider public. I'm not certain that they are still called ASINCOL either. Richard3120 (talk) 16:26, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Richard3120: I don't mind stalkers at all. For all I could find, these gold discs were all awarded by the record companies, not by any certification body, and as such are "awards" and not really "certifications", at least the way I understand these words. As such, like I said above, I don't see why the could not be used in the "commercial reception" sections (if the source is reliable), but I don't think they should be listed as certifications. This is just my personal opinion. --Muhandes (talk) 17:47, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

Logo of Indian Institute of Science
Dear Sir,
Recently Logo of Indian Institute of Science (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Institute_of_Science ) was changed by the institute. Hence with intention to update IISc Wikipedia with new information I uploaded the new logo of IISc on wikimedia commons (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:IISc_New_Logo_2019.jpg). But due to fair use claim this is tagged for deletion.
Could you please help it and prevent its deletion with providing relevant summary and licensing. Aquila 073 (talk) 04:10, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Aquila 073: The commons does not accept fair use images. You need to upload it to each wiki separately, and each may have its own rules. I uploaded to the English one. --Muhandes (talk) 06:24, 21 April 2020 (UTC)

@Muhandes If Possible Please merge these Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences & Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital two wiki page story in Single one With new name like Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital Or ABVIMS and Dr. RML Hospital Because I found both are same Institution, one is institute and another one Hospital, Even both have single website, check this Website rmlh.nic.in for more information. - @Kulbhushan Jhadav: There is no need to ping me on my own talk page. Regarding the merge, I do not object. Is there any reason to assume this is controversial? You can follow the instructions on WP:MERGE and perform the merge. --Muhandes (talk) 11:42, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
@Muhandes No No, There nothing Controversial. Actually I'm not Sure I have any authority to merge pages or not, thats why I requested to you. Thanks Regards. --Kulbhushan Jhadav (talk)
- @Kulbhushan Jhadav: Apart from very few exceptions (mostly from not being a template editor), you have exactly the same "authority" I have. Good luck and have fun. --Muhandes (talk) 22:04, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Jindal Global Law School
Hello Muhandes,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Jindal Global Law School for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Logo format conversion
Hi Muhandes, I deal with pages on universities and colleges all over the world. Recently I was working on IIIT Hyderabad. You uploaded its logo on September 2017. To make it more clear and presentable, according to guidelines, it should be in '.svg' format. I was thinking of assigning it to Wikigraphists. Another solution is that you or I can convert it ourselves. Please tell me what do you suggest. Certifications questions
Hello, I’ve noticed you’ve edited a lot on Template:Certification Table Entry/testcases (via Template: Certification Table Entry) maybe you’ll be able to answer this question. When regarding to the certifications from Recording Industry Association of America “RIAA” on the table what is supposed to be in the box regarding the numbers? Is it supposed to be the RIAA’s numbers? A lot of users have been only adding in sources from Nielsen Soundscan and using their numbers. I had always believed if an album is let’s say 4X Platinum meaning 4,000,000 should be in the box. But when other users have been only adding in Nielsen reports it could be very low. The Fragile, Lemonade (Beyoncé album), B’Day are a few examples. I’ve been searching to see if anything states that Nielsen’s reports need to only be in the table, can’t find anything but only that template I sent above that I believe to state if theirs no certification available that’s when you bring a source In stating the numbers (Nielsen). But if their is a certification available add in their numbers (RIAA)? Again, maybe you’ll answer this better than I can. I had seemingly believed only RIAA’s number should only be included since it’s not asking for Nielsen’s since Nielsen is not a certification agency.
Thank you Pillowdelight (talk) 19:01, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
B'Day Sorry forgot to edit this in. Here’s the correct album. Pillowdelight (talk) 19:06, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Pillowdelight: The consensus is that explicit sales figures (from Nielsen or any other reliable source) should be used in the table, if they can be found. --Muhandes (talk) 05:55, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
Certification referencing question
Hello!
Sorry to bother you after you've helped so much with certification template, but while making the changes to parameter values for Brazil, i've hit a problem, which i'm not sure what the course of action is (maybe there are other places to look without bothering you, but.. >.<).
The problem is certifications, which are not on the cert website, but are posted by other entities, e.g. by Warner Music Brazil (as example case being Light It Up). Should they be regarded as valid? I'd be really grateful for insight. Kleool (talk) 06:59, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Kleool: Generally speaking, only the certification body, Pro-Música Brasil, can certify anything. Warner Music Brazil is very careful, they are not saying "it was certified Platinum", they are saying "o single já atingiu a marca de Disco de Platina", roughly translated "the single has already reached the Platinum Record mark". In other words, this is not a certification, it is a sales claim. Moreover, it is a sales claim made by the distributor, so I wouldn't trust it at all. --Muhandes (talk) 08:36, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Muhandes: oh, i see! So the devil is in the details (aka words used) here. Thank you! I hope you have a nice day ^^ Kleool (talk) 08:39, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
IFPI Denmark
Hello, I have wanted to ask in regards Danish certifications. From when exactly are new certifications hm, calculated, meaning when does it start. Marshall Mathers LP was released in 2000 and was certified two times platinum in 2001 (hitlisten.nu UGE 7 2001) and at that point that is a 100,000 level. But then a new certification in 2020 came with five times platinum, which is 100,000 as well. So if the release date was from 2000 then it would includ previous sales level (however to call it), and then wouldn't that be higher? Certificeringer.de has a database that goes back to January, 2011. So are new certifications just reflective of 2011-today, not 2000-today? If it is, previous certifications should be separate. In BPI and RIAA, they have included release dates, so that way we know. Just wondering. Dhoffryn (talk) 16:24, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Dhoffryn: For certifications after July 2012 the level for the certification date is used. If you believe this is incorrect, start discussion at Template talk:Certification Table Entry. --Muhandes (talk) 17:32, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Muhandes: Thanks, I will try there. Dhoffryn (talk) 19:06, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

- As for Draft:Sukhpal Sukh, I'm not sure how I can help. The draft has been reviewed multiple times and I am not going to go against all those reviews without a good justification. There are two paths before you (which also apply if you wish Tru Skool to remain.
- Did you read WP:MUSICBIO? Can you show that this person satisfies any of these conditions?
- Did you read WP:GNG? Can you show that this person satisfies this condition?
- If neither is satisfied, the article will just be deleted again. --Muhandes (talk) 18:10, 14 September 2020 (UTC)

Please help me publishing my adjustment
Hi,
Could you please help me with adding text on the Tideland Signal page? Everytime it gets deleted and I really don't know what I should do else.
First of all I would like to add this text to the first alinea:
Tideland Signal ceased operations as of 31 July 2020. In September 2020, Orga Signal, part of the privately held Orga group of companies, has acquired certain intellectual property and product design assets of Tideland Signal. Orga is a provider of Aids to Navigation solutions, helideck lighting systems, onshore and offshore aeronautical obstruction marking and offshore solar and battery charger power supply solutions.
Please let me know what I could do to make sure it will be published.
Thank you in advance, — Preceding unsigned comment added by MelanieStuije (talk • contribs) 06:14, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi MelanieStuije. The preferred place to discuss changes to an article is on the talk page. As for your request, I see that all the material facts from your paragraph are already present in the article. The only thing not there is the exact dates, which I did not add since I could not find a reliable sources for them. Regards, --Muhandes (talk) 07:16, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for this information. I cannot add any comments to the Tideland Signal talk page as it is within the scope of WikiProject Lighthouses. - @MelanieStuije: Since the company was not acquired, and therefore there is no continuity, I don't see how this fact is material enough to be added to the lead. There are no requirements per se, this is just a matter of due weight. I added the fact to the history section. --Muhandes (talk) 08:55, 8 October 2020 (UTC)
