Polish football team names
[edit]I see you have changed some of the Polish football team names, such as RKS Raków Częstochowa, WKS Śląsk Wrocław. Up until your changes the only teams to include the "Klub Sportowy" at the beginning of the articles name were those whose names were not concise enough, such as MKS Cracovia as their name does not include the city they are from. I have also noticed you have missed out on changing the page name of some of the so called "big teams" in Poland. This change either needs to cover 100% of Polish football teams, or in my opinion it needs to be reverted. Thanks. OLLSZCZ (talk) 10:51, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Mr @OLLSZCZ. In my edits, I followed the official name of the club, changing the name of the article, only when the full name was in the crest, which indicated some solidification of the full name (as RKS Raków or WKS Śląsk have). I did not include clubs that do not have it - hence the lack of inclusion in the changes of such clubs as (for example) Legia Warsaw or Pogoń Szczecin. Paradygmaty (talk) 10:56, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- As per your own standards, you have still missed some clubs. Also, whether it is included on the badge or not, either all clubs need to go by their full names, or they all go by what they are simply known as, as was the case previously. OLLSZCZ (talk) 11:01, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- @OLLSZCZ - I don't see such a rule. More, I see that some of the articles have already been punctuated with prefixes from the coats of arms in the past, so the edits are as justified as possible, deserving to be taken into account. Of course, I am open to discussing these issues more widely in the community. Paradygmaty (talk) 15:55, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi. Generally those who have abbreviations (not from the clubs badge, but from the clubs name) have come when there has been a possible disambiguation on the subject. But this has been done in all cases where an issue may already arise.
- However if this is something you're wanting to discuss more widely it is a conversation I'd like to be involved in. I have also gone through the Polish champions and abbreviated their names as to what they should therefore be changed to (I have taken these from their official names, however this can go against "common name" where one issue can arise).

Stadion im. Kazimierza Górskiego
[edit]The stadium in Warsaw is called Stadion Narodowy or Stadion Narodowy im. Kazimierza Górskiego. Stadion im. Kazimierza Górskiego is distinctive enough, and the fact that it redirects to Stadion im. Kazimierza Górskiego (Płock) indicates that it does not need the disambiguation. See Wikipedia:Article titles (Precision and disambiguation) for more information. I have started a discussion at Talk:Stadion im. Kazimierza Górskiego (Płock)#Requested move 7 May 2024. Stadium names
[edit]Hi there, thanks a lot for your work on Polish stadium pages. One thing I wanted to note - some are unfortunately misspelled and can't be renamed now - these include Edmunda Szyca Stadium, Zdzisława Krzyszkowiak Stadium, etc. - they should follow the same naming conventions as venues such as Władysław Król Stadium or Kazimierz Sosnkowski Stadium. I also believe Subcarpathian Football Center would be a better name for the Stalowa Wola Stadium, as the current name is too generic and broad, and a lot of the stadiums would benefit from including 'Municipal' in their name, much like the Stal Rzeszów Municipal Stadium, (e.g. Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Stadium that could be named 'KSZO Municipal') or the club names (e.g. Grodzisk Wielkopolski Stadium), so that the naming is kept consistent and truthful to Polish names. Thanks, take care! KibolLP (talk) 22:31, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, @KibolLP,
- thank you for your message, I see that we cooperate in a common ground, there are three issues:
- 1) errors in translation (Edmunda, Zdzisława) - these are technical issues, I will ask Wikipedia to move if I grasp how it works.
- 2) I have no idea how the Stalowa Wola Stadium should be named. I described it according to convention. I wonder whether “Podkarpackie Centrum Piłki Nożnej” is not a generic name and whether we should translate it.
- 3) Instead, I have no objection to the proposed name “KSZO Municipal Stadium”. It is as suitable an idea as “Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Stadium”. ;) Paradygmaty (talk) 08:23, 26 May 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Blessed Ladislas of Gielniów Church
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Blessed Ladislas of Gielniów Church requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Royiswariii (talk) 13:28, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
Blessed Ladislas of Gielniów Church, Gielniów moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Blessed Ladislas of Gielniów Church, Gielniów. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hey man im josh (talk) 15:27, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
Stadion Miejski (Białystok)
[edit]Hi Paradygmaty, I have reverted your move of this article because the name you moved it to had an obvious typo ("municpal" instead of "municipal"). If you want to move the article again, please see WP:RM#CM. Thanks! :Jay8g [V•T•E] 08:35, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
Tarnobrzeg Municipal Stadium moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Tarnobrzeg Municipal Stadium, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The article Andrzej Gajec has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not pass WP:NPOL and not otherwise notable.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mccapra (talk) 22:37, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
