Information icon Hello, I'm VickKiang. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. VickKiang (talk) 01:20, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Pashtoisawesome! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. VickKiang (talk) 01:22, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to HabibMetro. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Despite your comments, it seems that you still plagiarised the content from the website to promote it. Do you have any affiliation with the company? VickKiang (talk) 03:36, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem icon One of your recent edits has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. VickKiang (talk) 03:38, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, I'm not affiliated with the company, if you go through my edits you can see I've been updating bank revenues and other stuff because most haven't been updated for 4-6 years

I don't understand the issue since those that haven't been updated for years are using the same sources I am yet they haven't gotten reverted or removed.

The issues I am aware of are that to me, the edits are not neutral and are promotional to the company (e.g., "The Bank serves its customers within retail, corporate, commercial, and Islamic segments through a dynamic suite of technology-led financial solutions, including round-the-clock banking facilities such as mobile and internet banking, as well as a network of 470+ ATMs across the country" is clearly unencyclopedic), furthermore, you copied it from the site (https://www.habibmetro.com/profile/), both of which should be reverted. From my perspective, what you are doing might be viewed as closer to a promotional ad rather than a legitimate update, but some of them are definitely useful. Therefore, while I certainly believe that those articles are poor and need updating, I am not familiar with Pakistan banks at all, so would appreciate if you could constructively edit and stop the copyvios or being promotional (have a read at the other parts of the articles, which are neutral and not promotional, for an insight). Many thanks and happy editing! VickKiang (talk) 03:53, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at National Bank of Pakistan, you may be blocked from editing. Edit it properly then, I don't understand the problem.Pashtoisawesome (talk) 19:03, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:BLP, please propose potentially contentious edits to the subject on the talk page first. OhNoitsJamie Talk 19:32, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add defamatory content to Wikipedia, as you did at Reham Khan. Morbidthoughts (talk) 22:11, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong, it's not defamatory I literally put "allegedly" using reliable sources. If it was defamatory, why didn't this person take those news channels or the journalist to court? Pashtoisawesome (talk) 05:38, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pashtoisawesome, as WP:BRD suggests, I think your efforts would have more traction if you took this discussion to Talk:Reham Khan where other interested editors can join the discussion. Peaceray (talk) 16:41, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:05, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I apologize, I didn't understand what I did wrong. I added the sources as well but they kept being removed for no reason. I've noticed my mistake and won't do it again. Thank you.

Request reason:

I acknowledge that I have had "sockpuppet" accounts but I didn't spread misinfo or malign anyone. As the sockpuppet rule states that I should refrain from editing for 6 months when I've been banned. I did stay away from editing for 6 months and I made a new account AFTER my checkuser block expired. The blocks aren't permanent so I had the right to make a new account once my block was over. Just wanted to add that the suspected sockpuppet on my original account popsmoke38, thebestcleanestpleasure is not me. I have no idea who that person is which is why it's under suspected. I have stayed away from editing the pages that I had violated the policy of and I learned my lesson. I enjoy editing outdated pages with new fresh information and fixing the spelling and etc you can go through my edits and see that. I don't try bothering anyone. Thank you. Pashtoisawesome (talk) 06:45, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Blocks apply to the person, not just the account. Until Popsmokes38 is unblocked, you (you the person) are not welcome to edit. You are free to take advantage of WP:SO which would require six months of zero edits starting now. After six months, you can apply to be unblocked on your original account.
