Hi, do you think you could provide a little clarification to the article you started on May Lee Yang? It's not clear to me whether "Hmong writer" means she writes in the Hmong language or if she's of Hmong ethnicity. I'm also curious if "lives in Minnesota" means she's native to the US or an immigrant. NickelShoe 20:20, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please note thst the article on Burlee Vang is a bit weak on notability, paerticualrly since this person is still a graduate student. Please read WP:BIO. Can you cite a source on teh importance of his award? can you cite any publications or independant sources that mention Burlee Vang? If this were nominated for deletion as it stands it might well be deleted. DES (talk) 17:31, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you cite any sources in the article on this publication? can you at least give full bibliographic information on it? what language or languages is it published in? Can you cite any published sources that show the importance o=r significance of thsi publication? DES (talk) 17:33, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Please remember to mark your edits as minor only when they genuinely are (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). "The rule of thumb is that an edit of a page that is spelling corrections, formatting, and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'." this edit is not a minor edit, becaue it added substantial text. This is a minor detail, but an important one here on wikipedia. again thanks for your contributions. DES (talk) 22:44, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shannon Gibney

[edit]

Hello, Thaoworra. Your recent article Shannon Gibney was tagged for deletion, because it did not fall under the notability requirements for biographies. Please see Wikipedia:Notability (people) for more information. GhostPirate 20:17, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Shoua_Lee

[edit]

I've nominated the article Shoua_Lee for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Shoua_Lee satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shoua_Lee. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Shoua_Lee during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. Nposs 06:56, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that there are several related articles also listed under Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shoua_Lee. Thanks you. Nposs 06:56, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Bee Cha

[edit]

An editor has nominated the article Bee Cha for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bee Cha. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Bee Cha during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. AfD nomination of Peter Yang

[edit]

An editor has nominated Peter Yang, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lee Vang and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Jayden54Bot 11:09, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Per this article for deletion's discussion, the Karma Rosenberg article was deleted just a few days ago. The content you reposted has been tagged as a speedy delete, and thus will be likely deleted again, as it is merely a copy and paste of what was previously there. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia! -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 15:33, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mali Kouanchao has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Thaoworra! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 266 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Ka Vang - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 17:23, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Frances Kai-Hwa Wang

[edit]

Hello Thaoworra,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Frances Kai-Hwa Wang for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Speedy deletion nomination of Frances Kai-Hwa Wang

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Frances Kai-Hwa Wang requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.franceskaihwawang.com/p/about.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
