New Project
[edit]Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.
If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 06:55, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, but I've got exams fast approaching so I'm attempting to cut back on editing. I'll probably re-add myself when I feel ready. the wub "?!" 12:17, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Stroppy
[edit]A page I created Stroppy was speedily deleted before I even had a chance to discus it. Stroppy is a very well-known word in the UK if not in the USA I presume. Could I re-create please? Thanks. SmokeyTheCat •TALK• 04:40, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a dictionary. If nothing can be written other than a definition, then we shouldn't have an article. We do have a sister project, Wiktionary which accepts definitions, and they already have one for stroppy. the wub "?!" 16:30, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Please email me my deleted page Smuz
[edit]Hi, Please email me my deleted page Smuz for my records. I'll need it for when it becomes notable enough for Wikipedia. Thanks, Pickpaul (talk) 16:58, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Rfb participation thanks
[edit]Hello, Wub.
I wanted to personally thank you for taking part in the project-wide discussions regarding my candidacy for bureaucratship. After bureaucratic discussion, the bureaucrats decided that there was sufficient significant and varied opposition to my candidacy, and thus no consensus to promote. Although personally disappointed, I both understand and respect their decision, especially in light of historical conservatism the project has had when selecting its bureaucrats. If you have any further suggestions or comments as to how you think I could help the project, please let me know. Once again, thank you for your support. -- Avi (talk) 18:27, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks and apologies for missing your earlier note re: the name. This is fine and I've transcluded it onto WP:MUSEUMS TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 00:37, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
RFA Thanks
[edit]Thanks for your support at my recent Request for adminship. And thank you for your work on deletion sorting, too – I see your work on a page or two that I follow, and it’s one of those quietly well-done tasks that nobody really notices until it stops being done. I hope you find I live up to your expectations. Best, Risker (talk) 14:22, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks!
[edit]Thanks so much for your support in my RfA, which closed successfully this morning. TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 19:43, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
