Thank you for the welcome. So far I am enjoying editing 1-3 articles per day. The research (strictly speaking, not primary, but seeking sources for verification) helps to broaden my general knowledge. I have learnt the basic ropes of editing wikipedia articles, and can now add this to the growing lists of things that I have done on the internet. Sorry for confusion. I'm quickly running through new articles and about 50+% of what I find is what I consider "spam" or "garbage". For example, one type that comes up a lot is an article written by someone about himself, usually full of juvenile content. This is user page material, not article material.

Hey Tim, just so you know, the author of that article said that only two of the credits in the list of film credits actually belong to this actor, the rest allegedly belong to another actor of the same name. He claims the actor has died, but IMDb lists him as "announced" to appear in a film. Also, the editor has been adding fake Italianised names into various random articles and creating other articles which have been nominated for AFD (not by me) as hoaxes. I was inclined to re-write the article (as I have done several others by this editor) due to the IMDb credit list, but I honestly could not find one shred of information about him. And anything I could find as far as the credit list went, was in conflict with this article. I felt the article was full of unverifiable content and made no claim of notability (since the editor discredits all but 2 film roles) which is why I listed it as db-bio. British etc.

Tim, I believe that is well within the 3RR rule. I reverted as Ian McKellen was changed as part of a huge campaign to change every single British entry to English without any discussion or consensus. As no policy has been passed to completely remove British from Wikipedia I am entirely in the right in reverting to it's original version. Arniep 23:08, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
