A tag has been placed on Hans Rudolph, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 05:59, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled

[edit]

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! Acalamari 15:34, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wpollard, Thank you for adopting a typo, and adding yourself to [[Category:Wikipedians who have adopted typos]] by adding the user box. Dissertation

[edit]

Is your dissertation online? I noticed the Fort Aubrey article, and I'm curious because I wondered if it could be useful for pages such as the redlinked Bear Creek Redoubt in Clark County. Nyttend backup (talk) 18:26, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but there's no need to go to the trouble. I'm in grad school, so I have tons of papers sitting around already, including some information that I'll use for Wikipedia if I ever get the chance: I'd likely not have time to use it if you sent it. Thanks for the offer! Nyttend (talk) 11:35, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Medusa (Clive Cussler novel), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages The Navigator, Devil's Gate and Kindle (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi Wpollard,

You are receiving this message either because you expressed an opinion about the proposed SOPA blackout before full blackout and soft blackout were adequately differentiated, or because you expressed general support without specifying a preference. Please ensure that your voice is heard by clarifying your position accordingly.

Thank you.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hope of Jesus Children's Home requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Hope of Jesus Children's Home is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hope of Jesus Children's Home until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. -- Alan Liefting (talk - contribs) 16:17, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article San Jose Hospital & Trauma Center has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:CORP.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. What I usually do these days when I create an article is create the new article with no information. Next, I copy text I have written from my sandbox and, finally, I add categories. I have been doing this, because I was moving articles from my workspace, which leaves many unneeded redirects. Also, I had several instances of people making article changes before the article was moved from my workspace. Hope this clarifies what happened with this article.Bill Pollard (talk) 21:43, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

disambiguation pages

[edit]

I reverted your last three edits to Mirror Lake because they added entries which do not lead to an article about Mirror Lake. That page is a disambiguation page which is meant to help readers find the article they are looking for.

I have encountered this situation myself trying to balance encyclopedic thoroughness with Wikirules. The result is Oregon-specif articles like Lost Lake (Oregon). Possibly you might want to create a Florida-specific article like that which is not a disambiguation but a geographic-based article? —EncMstr (talk) 07:45, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Citations

[edit]

Hello,

It's been awhile since you created this article, and someone may have already discussed this with you, but there are some things to talk about regarding citations. For instance, for Fort Drinkwater, citations were put into a block by this version, but each citation should be formatted separately.

One of the reasons is that it is difficult to see what content came from what source, and it appears to be original research to have distilled all of the information. See this version.

Also, there is some information that was gathered by phone calls, which is absolutely a case of original research.

I also noticed this as an issue in the Fort Clifton (Kansas) article, so I put all of your content into a note (although I had thought of moving it all to the talk page instead to be sorted out).

I'm working on the Fort Drinkwater article right now and I will try to sort out the content from reliable sources that I can view. If you could help sort out the Fort Clifton article, that would be great. Then, the content could be moved out of the note and into the body of the article.

Thanks so much for these articles... and I'm sure you have learned a lot since these early articles, so sorry if I am being repetitive from earlier comments you may have received.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:18, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fox Lake (Florida) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. • I had hoped when I wrote this article that I could get more documentation for it. The development surrounding these bodies of water is a 55 and greater years mobile home park. I got very conflicting information about what was to be done concerning connecting these bodies of water into one and some promised documentation never came. These are manmade and never ended up combined into one greater body of water. There is one larger body of water, but it, too, is very small. This community itself seems somewhat large, but little exists online about it without much digging. I would concur at this point that it be deleted, because it never ended up what it was intended to be. Bill Pollard (talk) 17:12, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:21, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Never Never (novel) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NBOOK.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
