== Introduction to contentious topics ==--Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 20:50, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

- According to Wikipedia:Arbitration/Index/Palestine-Israel articles the article should be - "reasonably construed" as in -
- "4) For the purposes of editing restrictions in the
- ARBPIA
- topic area, the "area of conflict" shall be defined as encompassing
- the entire set of articles whose topic relates to the Arab-Israeli conflict, broadly interpreted ("primary articles"), and
- edits relating to the Arab-Israeli conflict, to pages and discussions in all namespaces with the exception of userspace ("related content")"
- Is Or Sasson the related to the Arab-Israeli conflict? If so, then Judo, Clothing and any other article on Wikipedia is related in one way or another to the Arab-Israeli conflict. It is clear as day that you are trying to erase as many as possible mentions of Israel. As seen, you reverted my edit to Ori Sasson and Doms in Israel although both Articles are not related to the Conflict. Also, you tried to frame Hanadi Jaradat, a known terrorist, using the ambigious term "militant" while her actions were objectively terrorism. Ytyerushalmi (talk) 19:08, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- at Or Sasson you added that the disputed city of Jerusalem is in "Israel", at the Dom article you removed "internationally recognized as the occupied Palestinian territories." .... please self revert.--Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 20:50, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- Being disputed doesn't change the fact that it is de-facto a part of The State of Israel and under its sovereignty, so he was born in Israel. Again, whether disputed or not, it is a fact that relates to him.
- I removed it from the Dom article because it is not related to the Doms themselves and there's no need to mention it as it discussed further in the subject of the West Bank itself.
- Again, as these two articles are not a part of the Arab-Israeli conflict nor the edits were relating to the Arab-Israeli conflict but to the subjects themselves, and therefore, not under the Arbitration rule, I will not revert. Ytyerushalmi (talk) 21:17, 25 July 2024 (UTC)

Copying text from Wikipedia articles
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Ancient synagogues in Palestine into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Richard Nevell (talk) 18:48, 25 July 2024 (UTC)

Militancy
[edit]Hi. I understand very well what moves you, but you're still new around here, and if you wish to stick around for longer, i.e. not be permanently blocked by the other side, you must give up your militant, crusading ways. I mean it. Maybe you have a long breath, but my bet is that if you stick to this agenda & style, you'll be burned out and leave cursing and hating before long. It's a minefield, and apart from that: try to move out of your resonance chamber, many things really do have more facets than you're used to see. If you're willing to take that in, it'll become a win-win project. It still won't guarantee no burnout, but you'll take your gains home, into real life.
Good luck! Arminden (talk) 00:24, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
