- Absolute (record compilation) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
Non-notable long-running series of compilation albums. I can find no sources to back up anything in this article; this search is particularly telling. Oo7565 (talk) 05:07, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, very notable. Many of the Absolute compilation albums have since the 80s and until today topped the Swedish album charts. Also "absolute music" gives 522,000 Google hits. bbx (talk) 04:39, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - The comparision might be made to the article Now That's What I Call Music!, but in that situation virtually every NOW album has charted. Individual ABSOLUTE albums needs to be proven to be notable prior to the brand being notable. Untick (talk) 02:49, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. According to the Swedish Wikipedia article loads of these albums have charted. This should be easily sourceable by anyone who can read Swedish and has an interest in popular music. This says that the subject is "Scandinavia's largest CD compilation company and producer of approximately every tenth music CD sold in Sweden". As a press release it doesn't count as an independent reliable source, but I think it would be very unlikely that anyone would make such a claim in a press release without it being reasonably close to the truth. - Keep – I'll assume good faith in that, if the Swedish Wikipedia notes that the compilation has charted, then it meets a minimum standard of notability. The sources just need English interpretation; that can't be hard. MuZemike 02:24, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, see Swedishcharts.com and Guld och Platina-certifikat År 1987–1998 (IFPI Svenska Gruppen) Cannibaloki 16:28, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep per above. Also, (if it makes any difference) I'm from Sweden and I know it is notable. —TheLeftorium 16:30, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
