- Delete - unreferenced stub with no indication of his contribution to his field of study. Search for "Ahmet Ugur Alkan" and "AU Alkan" on google news has no hits. On google scholar, I see nothing but 2 authored papers of unclear notability.
- Keep: Seems to me to meet WP:Prof No.3 via his having been an elected member of a highly selective and prestigious scholarly society or association e.g. a National Academy of Sciences.[1] (Msrasnw (talk) 22:27, 15 September 2012 (UTC)) PS: I can't read the Science article mentioned in Turkish Academy of Sciences where here might be mentioned.[reply]
