December 6, 2013

[edit]

GLAMout is the first Friday of every month.

Time: 12pm-1pm Pacific Time (3pm-4pm ET | 20-21h UTC)
Coordinator: Merrilee (talk)
Anchor topic: Wikipedia Loves Libraries wrap-up

Agenda

[edit]
  • add your topics!
  • Walters Museum: wiki Internship(s) and upcoming Hackathon, Jan 24
  • Wikimedia Foundation's Program Evaluation and Design edit-a-thon evaluation report. Please review this report before the GLAMout. Sarah Stierch will give a brief overview about the key points pulled from the report, and ask GLAMout attendees questions about what might be missing from the report, how edit-a-thons benefit GLAM partnerships, and hopefully some attendees will have interest in partnering with WMF to evaluate edit-a-thons to discover more.
  • Update on The Wikipedia Librarypartnerships, events, new hires, and new donations.
  • Wikimedia DC chapter update
    • Statistics Edit-a-thon on Sunday, Dec 8 in DC, with the American Statistical Association
    • If time permits, an update on Fuzheado's American University class around GLAM/Wikipedia, and request for comments/ideas. What's in an ideal "edit-a-thon" traveling kit if you had dollars to spend? Projector? iPads? Laptops/Chromebooks?
  • Wikimedia NYC chapter update and Dorothy Howard METRO WiR update (we will be streaming together from our Edit-a-Thon at Queens Library).
