Origins
[edit]I originally made this comment in January 2020 in the workshop of an arbitration case in the context of speedy deletion. In March 2020 Ammarpad paraphrased it at the Administrators' noticeboard in the context of non-admin closures of deletion discussions.[1] It took me about 5 minutes of searching to find the original quote, reread it and decided I liked it so much it was worth upgrading to an essay.
