Malvar is a town in Batangas.

Understand

[edit]

Malvar is named after a Filipino general — Miguel Malvar — a resident of the town of Santo Tomas. It is rather a small town, with surrounding areas within the municipal boundary being agricultural lands used for coconut and sugarcane production. The urban sprawl spreading out from Metro Manila is beginning to reach Malvar; industrial parks are slowly making way into this quiet town.

Get in

[edit]

Malvar lies along the route of STAR Tollway and Jose P. Laurel Highway (Route 4). There is one exit at barangay Bulihan, which connects with Pedro Montecer Street.

Buses to Lipa or Batangas City via STAR Tollway stop at request.
