[edit]1 Launceston Airport (LST IATA) may be the airport to visit Launceston, Launceston Airport is in fact closer to Perth than it is to Launceston – see Launceston#By plane for more details. If you're renting a car from the airport, use Perth Mill Road (C417) to visit the town.
By car
[edit]Perth is on the Midland Highway (Highway 1), the highway that links Brighton (an exurb of Hobart) and Launceston. The town is about 20 km south of Launceston, and the Midland Highway between Launceston and Perth is a full freeway. The highway south of Perth between Bagdad and Perth is a 2+1 road, but with a speed limit of 110 km/h (68 mph); some sections of the highway, however, are only two lanes with a lower speed limit, and this section is not grade-separated.
