[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi असणे (asaṇe), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀅𑀘𑁆𑀙𑀇 (acchaï), from Sanskrit आक्षेति (ā́kṣeti). Cognate with dialectal Hindi अछना (achnā).
